| | Anyone here play the newely releases Counter Strike Source. It is still pretty buggy because its not quite complete yet. But I ordered it through steam today. When you preoder Half-Life 2 CS:S comes with it. It is the same as the orginal just a new engine I believe. |

maybe, i rather stick with CS 1.6. more servers, more players, more fun, more maps, more tournyments, more clan, low grahpics, doesnt run source engine.

Actually there are tons of source servers.. plus once they get the next update out its going to be awesome.

ya...what is this source thing, i just did a search servers and it had servers with like out of 64 and even 128 ppl...i was like wtf, it may have been spectator servers but i dunno...kinda weird

I dont play Counterstrike Source But i do play CounterStrike Condition Zero and my friend owns his own 8000 dollar server. I could be admin if i asked should i ask?

I play cs:source and i think that its amaizing. The physyics, graphics, and gameplay are great. The only thing i dont like is how the characters are all huntched over. I cant wait for Halflife 2 and for the new day of defeat to come out.

I agree but the game still need some optimizations and fixed to be really ready but still is a great product to play on lan and online.

when does half life 2 come out? and is the new counter strike good? as in does it live up to the standards of the original? the original was great, but i barely had time to play it online, because back then i only had dial up. does anyone have a link to where i can download the new cs source then?

I've played CS:S during its beta testing period (only 1 map = de_dust). It is a lot like the old CS, except better graphics sounds. I don't think there were many new weapons when I played. In fact, it resembled a lot of 1.5. But one cool thing about CS:S is that like if you see a can on the ground, u can shoot at it and it'll fly around. And depending on your angle, the shootoff angle changes too. If you shoot at crates, dust will actually fly around. So It's a lot more realistic. (oh yea, can't forget u can shoot at dead bodies) The new CS:Source needs to be bought, so it's not free unless u wait till HL2 comes out and buy that or something. If I were you I won't buy CS:S now, wait till they optimize it and make it cheaper.

CS:S best tactical game ever i seen! When youre play with it you can spend 3-4-5 jr more hours without be hungry or ill. All Russians love this game how mother like his child. lol

Is counter strike a good game? It seems rather old and are the graphics even compareable to newer games such as Warcraft III or is it more like Starcraft? A lot of people tell me that it's a great game to play, especially at the low price.

I don't like CS:S... is not my game  I need to jump and strafe and shoot at the same moment... I tried it but i return to play SoF2 and Q3...

Best Game (9) I seriously think that Counter Strike Source is probably the best game beause there is really no

Need Help With Cs:source Game Files!
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! (0) my steam folders are really really weird.....in the username folder i have nothing when i use the
explorer....but when i downloaded this VTFexplorer i can see the cstrike and the maps and the sounds
ive downloaded......but i cant edit them or add new in order to make a server or do anything....i do
have these .gcf files in my steamapps folder......can someone help me and tell me why i cant see
anything in my username folder.....i have 2 usernames that i log into but only one shows up...when i
use the VTFexplorer i can see both my username folders with cstrilke and alltha....

(0) I couldnt find any threads so feel free to delete. Dislike: 1) Sound, like I cant tell where the
footsteps are aswell in previous cs versions. Guns n stuff sound good. 2) Barrels and some other
stuff but barrels in particular. 3) The footsteps in source I have gotten used to however they
seemed pretty odd at first. 4) Office runs like a *BLEEP*. That is all I dislike, other then that
it's all good! I also find it annoying it sets all these high settings for my system as
default. Reduced aa from 6x to 4x (6x did nothing?). I also reduced the models to low a....
Which Game Do You Like Better?
Halo 2 or Counter-Strike (5) Which game do you guys like better. Please post your opinions and why. Thank You! I like
Halo 2 because alot of people play online with it more than Counter-Strike plus there are alot more
tourneys and tournaments with the game.And people have made many sites dedicated to halo 2 and there
are tons of halo2 clans. I personally am in a halo 2 clan. Its called Xassassinz. I made there site

Disappointed With Cs Source Performance
(1) Running 1.6, I can get as high as 150 fps and average on a map like dust around 100. On CS Source,
my computer won't hardly handle it. I've dropped as low as 11 fps on some maps with rain
falling. I've set everything in the graphic settings just about as low as it can go and even
overclocked my machine a little but it still sucks. You would think an AMD 2800 Barton +, with 512
2700 DDR, and an ATI 9600 pro would handle it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The best
I can get on the built in stress test is 82 fps.....

have been playing CS 1.5 WON2/No-WON/No-Steam (what a long name) for a few weeks now and i
absolutely love it. This also helps me because I used to have a Steam account and lost the password
to it. I am unable to play on Steam becuase of it. Frankly now, I really don't care. I also

(2) Great game, If you love original counter-strike you will love Source. The physics are incredible,
weapon models and hand models are great. It plays exactly like the original and has all the
reflective mambo jumbo to make it look good. If you want to play it you need Steam and a Half-Life2
Voucher (From a videocard like 9600XT) or own Condition Zero.....
