| | I'm deiciding to buy either Counter-Strike or BattleField. I heard both of them are 2 nice FPS games but its to hard to choose. So, I need your opinions and a reason why whichever game you chose is better. Thanks for your help  |

I would suggest counter-strike: source. It runs off of the source engine which has very nice physics and it doesn't look that bad either. There are lots of mods out there, two of my favorites being zombie mod and gun game, and it has a very large community. I think valve did a very good job with this game. Some pros to the game are: modability physics interactivity some cons include: you must be online to play no single player mode I hope this helps in your decision making

I have CSS and it is an awesome game. I got a Steam account awhile back and bought 17 games for $79.99. That includes every Half-Life/2 game. That also includes CSS and CS. It also has many more. I haven't tried them all yet but I have played Half-Life 2 Deathmatch with shotguns. That is fun. I'm getting off topic so anyways, go for CSS.

it depends on which battlefield you want. there is battlefield 1942 (expansions are: road to rome and secret weapons), vietnam, or battlefield 2. even if its number 2, i'd rather go with counterstrike source.

Battlefield, I have it to and its pretty fun if you play on easy. because you can waste of many enemies. And you also can use Jeeps, tanks, airplanes. And the single player mode is so realistic. The bots act like humans and it make's the game more fun to play.

i would say counter strike. I liked the game play a lot better and it was just more appealing to me than battlefield 1942.

Counter Strike: Source for sure. It's a very fun game and also has awesome graphics. Battlefield 1942 is old and doesn't have much players anymore, all the Battlefield series are more of a Arcade games.

I would suggest BF 1942 now, and CSS when it's price drops a bit more. Right now BF 1942 is only $10, and it is one of the most addicting games I've ever played. Once I got up at 8am, started playing. I had no idea what time it was until at 5 am the next day I was in the middle of a backflip in a fighter plane and I fell asleep. I woke up when my plane crahsed and exploded. Another reason I suggest BF 1942 is that you can be more than infantry. In CS, you can't drive or fly or use any boats. In BF, you actually get to pilot the vehicles of WWII. HEY! Lemme know if you get BF, because I still play that game all the time. I think it's a bit better than BF Vietnam or 2.

Best Game (9) I seriously think that Counter Strike Source is probably the best game beause there is really no

Need Help With Cs:source Game Files!
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! (0) my steam folders are really really weird.....in the username folder i have nothing when i use the
explorer....but when i downloaded this VTFexplorer i can see the cstrike and the maps and the sounds
ive downloaded......but i cant edit them or add new in order to make a server or do anything....i do
have these .gcf files in my steamapps folder......can someone help me and tell me why i cant see
anything in my username folder.....i have 2 usernames that i log into but only one shows up...when i
use the VTFexplorer i can see both my username folders with cstrilke and alltha....

(0) I couldnt find any threads so feel free to delete. Dislike: 1) Sound, like I cant tell where the
footsteps are aswell in previous cs versions. Guns n stuff sound good. 2) Barrels and some other
stuff but barrels in particular. 3) The footsteps in source I have gotten used to however they
seemed pretty odd at first. 4) Office runs like a *BLEEP*. That is all I dislike, other then that
it's all good! I also find it annoying it sets all these high settings for my system as
default. Reduced aa from 6x to 4x (6x did nothing?). I also reduced the models to low a....
Which Game Do You Like Better?

Who is going to buy it? (2) Im not the first to say that Battlefield 2 looks LIKE the BEST shootin/war game ever! Im going

Disappointed With Cs Source Performance
(1) Running 1.6, I can get as high as 150 fps and average on a map like dust around 100. On CS Source,
my computer won't hardly handle it. I've dropped as low as 11 fps on some maps with rain
falling. I've set everything in the graphic settings just about as low as it can go and even
overclocked my machine a little but it still sucks. You would think an AMD 2800 Barton +, with 512
2700 DDR, and an ATI 9600 pro would handle it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The best
I can get on the built in stress test is 82 fps.....

is below... If you liked CS 1.5 when you could play on WON, the good old days have returned. I
have been playing CS 1.5 WON2/No-WON/No-Steam (what a long name) for a few weeks now and i
absolutely love it. This also helps me because I used to have a Steam account and lost the password
to it. I am unable to play on Steam becuase of it. Frankly now, I really don't care. I also
downloaded this cool addon to CS called CS15EE (Counter-Strike 1.5 Extreme Edition). Better So....

Big Crappy Battlefield 1942 Problem
can only go to like 5 maps (1) ok so i can only go to like 5 maps for sum wierd reason.... when i click on a black server it says
