Believe it or not, there were still addresses, phone books, and information (phone number 411) before the internet existed. Though it may have been slightly (just slightly) harder to find someone, it could still be done. And that's also assuming the tracker doesn't have internet access. You can find just about anyone on Google (or an engine specifically for locations) - irregardless of whether they have the internet or not.

This is very much possible. not because you are not connected to the internet people cannot trace your where abouts. There is a big posibility that you have a school, Social Security, insurance etc identification, this records could be use by the authority to know your residence. A transaction using you credit card to a store, both online and non-online, can show your place of transactions. Even just using a public pay-phone can be traced. If you have been watching "CSI," "Alias," and "24," you probably know what I am talking about. The FBI, CIA and CTU have the technology to know your identifications and transactions. SCARY!

Second thing: Evryone can track you if you dont have a secret adress, phone. Third thing: Only the police can track your phone if you do have a secret adress, phone. so the answer is NO. its easy to track person specialy with mobile phones. In mobile phone technology, a city for example is divided into cells (thats why they call it cell phones). The center of these cells are the base station or what we call cell site. Everytime you step into a cell your mobile phone is acquired and own by that cell and as you move along and transfer from cell to cell within the city so is the ownership of your signal. So the idea is to locate which cell you belong and they then use other devices to triangulate your signal so they will know where you at exactly. The best part is, when a cell, for example 5 kilometers in raduis is overwhelmed by many users or subscribers it is divided into smaller cell let say 1 km in raduis or even less.

Everything you do that isn't a cash transaction get tracked. Even if you go to the grocery store (or any other store for that matter) and use a "discount card", that entire purchase is then linked to you, EVEN IF YOU PAY CASH. And there is nothing personal about the use of this information. Any affiliates of the company's involved have equal access to your information and it can be used for marketing or any other purpose they see fit. Also, with the patriot act, the gov't could use this information to "legally" search and sieze your property without your consent or even your awareness. This is scary stuff. You could by a book (with cash and a discount card) @ barnes and noble on VB or something. Then the gov't could say that a majority of hackers that have been caught have books on the same topic, and therefore get a search warrant and come to your home while you aren't even there, go thru all of your stuff, and leave before you ever even knew they were there. And they can go back as much as they want. THEY NEVER HAVE TO TELL YOU. Or rather, it is written that they have an indefinite amount of time to tell you.
