I have been using a Viewsonic 19In LCD for the last two years or so and i still love it, however last time i was at Frys i saw a huge 27in widescreen LCD for 699! I picked it up and ran home to try it out. I put it on my desk and thought "you what would be cool? Two monitors!" so I put my Viewsonic next to it. I have a X850 XT PE with dual display capibility and DVI, knowing this I planed to have the viewsonic on VGA and the big boy on DVI. I set the 27 to 1286/720 and my other to 1024/786. amaisingly when i move a window from one to the other it resizes is almost instntly! The icons are a little bigger on the 27 but that doesnt bother me. I guess the moral of this story is if you have a pricy graphics card and you want a big monitor, go ahead and get it.
Sounds really cool to get yourself a 27" lcd screen, but I went one step bigger. I got a projector that displays a screen as wide as 8 feet. Now talk about big... That is soo huge. I also got a wireless keyboard and mouse to go with it so that I can be sitting on either couch and don't have these short wires or any wires to bother you. You thought your icons were big. These icons ore are as big as my hand.. maybe bigger.. don't even know if I even tried to size it up. It is soo cool to play games with.. well good luck with that monitor.
Thats really awesome man! Whats you max res with that thing? I have a 60in SXRD sony TV (1080p capible) and I have always wanted to hook a computer up to it. rock on.
yeah i run a similar setup except oi have a laptop. I use the laptops screen at 1920x1200 and then have a 14" lcd monitor connected that runs 1024x768 thus i get a huge screen and can test websites on any resolution. I love it and never will go back to 1 screen unless im actually using the laptop as a laptop and not docked

A bit spammy here. Let's post more information next time.
I'm totally envious! I still have an old school 17inch samsung viewsonic . In the next few weeks I hope to get something new, but for now I need to continue upgrading my old hardware piece by piece.
I would love to see a pic of the monitor set up thow .
I would post a picture of it but it would be hard to capture since my laptop is on my desk and on a shelf to the side is my monitor so that i can see it from my bed and use it as a television. Basically, if you do "pimp out" your monitor setup, being creative is always good but at the same time practicallity works the best.
Monitor screen eye protectors? how do you call those this that you put on you monitor so it
doesn't hurt your eyes? I used to have that on my old computer, now I got a new one, and they
guy that sold me the computer said that that's not necessary anymore, but well I've been
using the computer for awhile now and my eyes hurt, just wondering if anyone knows aything about
those things or if there is new monitors that have that built in....
Google and Yahoo Aim at Another Screen i just love these two maverick corporate giants.
/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /> envision google and yahoo
invading our tv screens very soon. makes TV a more interactive medium, i guess, apart from just
channel-surfing via remote control. /tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle'
alt='tongue.gif' /> anybody here from las vegas who visited the consumer electronics show already?
can you give us a personal report on the new features they have there?...
Apparently a German technology giant called siemens has developed Tv Screens as thin as paper that
can bend as paper does without breaking. They also have an amazingly low production cost. They can
be used to bring to life things only imagined in science-fiction movies, and fantasy books such as
harry potter. Here is a webpage relating to this.

this I learn more about them, apparentl...
i just got my BRAND NEW 17inch lcd computer screen. I love it. clear picture. bright. awesome
!! lemme say that again awesome contrast and colors. and the best thing of all it was a
resonable price. if oyu are looking for a new moniter. look into the samsung syncMaster 712n its a
good bargain....
So my old Wal-mart special KDS 17" monitor was on it's way out after about 2 years. So I bit
the bullet and upgraded to an LCD. I managed to get a great deal at newegg on a FujiPlus 19" 12ms
unit. I basically would have paid the same for a 19" crt. It seems to me that LCD prices are
really starting to be comparable to CRT. Gotta wait for a stupid rebate though, which kinda sucks.
It just got my hands on it today and I have to say that I'm blown away. I have it plugged into
my 9700pro in the DVI and it is awesome. Nice and crisp and no dead pixels. I got l...
IBM is coming out with a brand new tablet PC that you can turn around and use. I am looking to buy
one myself when it comes out because I think it would be great to use for taking notes in class,
working while traveling and playing the odd game. IBM tablet PC
