Step one
Find a pic any size will do
Step two
Get your Polygonal Lasso Tool While holding down shift draw a shape similar to this(you can change this at the end)
and press SHIFT + CTRL + I
Step three
While you have that selected Go to Layer > New Fill layer > Gradient.
Click the cooper Gradient and click ok - u should get this
Step four
Set the Gradient Layers mode to luminosity and add some blending options to make it look 3d. You should get something like this.
Optional Step
While on your Grad Layer get one of your Maruqw tools select a bit of the board and press Delete. Fiddle around with that until your happy with it.
