Now, now lets be calm now and view the situation in an orderly manner. But then again, xclawx, are you seriously advertising for some freeware on this forum? It waould be wise not to do that because you may recieve a negative email from trap17. Eventhough, I've never recieved one, I believe it wouldn't be a good thing.

I'm thinking the same thing... I would never post any warez on this forum... for simple reasons... This isn't a warez forum neither will be... I don't see warez posts on this forum, so why should I post?... As I can see you only have 9 posts... so if I were you, I would read more posts inspite of posting those things... just trying to warn you because if I don't do this someone with enough power will do... That this mistake doesn't happen again.

Anyone got a site where they're using XML to generate dynamic content? I'm thinking of
using XML for several elements of the website for my workplace, partially because I can easily
generate XML through a simple VBA interface far easier than XHTML (since I'm only considering
the content), so that I can set up easy ways of changing that content for the completely computer
illiterate people I work with. Also, I'm doing an XML course later, so I want ot get some
practice in /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif...
What's The Best Content Management Software?
- (15)
I'm thinking of using Mambo Open Source because I saw WYSIWYG was included to help design your
site, but I'm not sure if I should go with it. What are you all using, and what do you find to
be the most user friendly. I'm new to PHP (translation: I don't know what the hell I'm
doing), so what would be the easiest for me to put up. I've already designed my site in
Frontpage with frames, but I'm ready for a more grown up site. Let me know. Thanks

Do You Need A Content Management System?
- Then Read This... (20)
ODOMIKE If HTML isn't your thing and you're planning a website with lots of content, you
might want to consider using a "Content Management System," also known as CMS. With CMS, content is
stored in a database away from the site's templates, which makes it impossible to destroy the
design structure of the site when editing. CMS systems allow anyone to edit his or her website,
regardless of technical skill level. Pages can be added or changed easily without knowing any
intricate coding. Many websites that use CMS resemble a portal design. This type of sy...
Drupal
- Best Content Manager evAr. (3)
Drupal has to be the best content manager evAr. Typo, PHP-Nuke, or Post-Nuke doesn't have
anything on Drupal. It's modules are awesome and the software is grand. Fully customizable and
everything. I mostly like the security system ingrated into it. It tells your from the admin panel
if someone has ATTEMPTED a login into the admin panel. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"
emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> And what makes it worse, if whoever attempted an
unauthorized login into your admin account is a member of your site, its traced back via IP a...
Syndicate Your Content Using Php And Mysql

I just finished reading a php book, and figured out some interesting things, and wanted to share
them with the Trap17 community. I know lot of you make websites so this could help out. Enjoy
QUOTE Introduction So, you've spent the best part of a year creating your PHP/MySQL driven
web site. You've got a fair amount of decent, flexible content, and you're buddies with a
couple of other webmasters, so they've given you a free banner ad on their site in exchange for
one on yours. Promoting your site can be even harder than developing it. I've foun...
How To Make A Auto Height Adjusting Website?
- Height increases depending on the size of the content. (6)
I just got a fresh idea on my new site. I got every thing planed out, the content and the colours
i'm going to use for the layout. But osmething else came to my mind. I have seen site when if
the text is bigger, the hegiht of the layout increases, without affections the layouts design. A
good example would be blogs, where when you make more entries they go down the page rather than
making new pages. I did think about i frames, but that is not what i was looking for. I dont mind
if it is in PHP, as most of my site is....

Textpattern, Advanced Alternative To Cms
- Get more control over your content (6)
I recently discovered this amazing (in my opinion) program, which is a great way to build your
site! When I first "got into" website creating I thought that Content Management Systems were
the best thing ever. However I soon discovered that they are for the most part not very flexible.
You are limited to the things you are able/unable to do. Plus its not "your own". I don't know
about you but I really wanted to create something amazing without utilizing the easy way out. I was
getting frustrated, I knew basic HTML and PHP but not enough to make a site from scra...

Total Content Managers
- whats the best? (10)
Hi, I've been using PHP nuke 7.5 for the last couple of months and so far it's been pretty
good. I was wondering though, for those of you who use total content managers, if you could perhaps
recommend any others and specific features that make them interesting. I find that with php nuke
that I'm not giving absolute 100% control and find myself having to search through pages of PHP
to fully customise it....
