I checked the logs and saw PHPBB14 with lots of outgoing mail records. May be you can cut that a bit down.. Are you hosting crons ?

I just checked your site and I must say it loads quite fast enough now. May be you or admin of the host have made some changes, otherwise if no changes are made I think this speed is quite good considering the amount of graphics in your site, it loads quite fast even in my slow internect speed.

I checked not only your homepage but I did check your forums as well. If I am in your place I will be quite satisfied with this speed. I too am a computinghost hoster. I find no problems as far as the speed is concerned. All the best!

It wasn't going slow yesterday but today it's started to go slow again. It's not just on the homepage, its all over the site and it times out sometimes to. It's not just me either people have been reporting the same to me.

I don't want to be annoying but when being a free forum host it dosn't look good when the site is slow.

When someone requests a free forum it sends them a confirmation email

The slowness of the site is just unbelievable now.

I can hardly get onto a page, it takes around 5 minutes to load

I subscribed to computinghost 4 days ago and I´m thinking about requesting my money back, because the service is very slow. I leave my previous host , because the service fell several days, but is preferable to be out sometimes that to be slow all the time.

phpbb1.net loads just fine with me, under a minute. considering that i'm on dialup, with multiple windows opening other sites (at least three) at the same time as i am opening your site -- it's a breeze.

i even tested randomly on other forums listed in your forums directory. on same dialup connection -- works fine and fast!

nothing seems to be at fault from the computinghost server side. are you sure your connection is just fine?

phpbb1 loads fine for me. Flash graphic will slow a site somewhat. Depends on the server load at the time, Line speed, etc, but it loaded pretty quick for me just now.

Phpbb1 was accused of spamming and also Sending mass amounts of emails.

Phpbb1 site was experiencing a DDOS attack. To tackle this situtation, We forwarded the A-Address of this site to localhost. Thereby preventing further load on our servers. Even though the propagation did take time, it very well prevented our network from getting affected totally. Even after all this, ComputingHost did not terminate this site and agreed to provide the user a backup of his site.

This site no longer exists on our network.

I request members to refrain from spamming and considering the shared nature of hosting. Please use the resources peacefully. The reason the site was getting affected because of soo much resource usage.

I was not going to post this, but I felt its better that members get a clean and clear picture of the entire scenario and then make their decision regarding our service smile.gif

Weird, I was trying phpbb1.net and it pointed into localhost in my computer. I was thinking what was going on. laugh.gif

Now I'm being told I've been suspended for flooding when I was the one being flooded. I can't get a backup or anything.

those were just taken minutes ago, and i suppose that would mean your hosted site works... at least for us (meaning, other than you and your forum members).

since you mentioned you "Got new hosting now", did you take steps to transfer your domain, files and DBs already from your "old" host (computinghost) to the "new" one?

if you want cpanel access, you should try instead one of these for your site:
http://phpbb1.net/cpanel
http://phpbb1.net:2082/

cpanel login is accessible as tested, again, on my side. smile.gif

    Hi, A little question, I need to access to my mysql computinghost.com serveur from another server
    form some little update. I found the option 'Mysql/Access Hosts' in the cpanel and I put
    the other server ip. But wich server name I have to put to access to my computinghost.com/localhost
    ? I've tried the ip and the adress from my website hosted on computinghost.com, I suppose there
    is a spécific adress. I tried too to find this adress myself in the forum, but I failed.

    I uploaded a script as a free member and saw it worked so I decided to buy hosting. Then I uploaded
    the script as a paid member and it didn't work. The main thing I noticed is that the free member
    server's name is gamma and the paid one is delta. I am mostly worried because if I can't
    get my script to work, I can't keep staying hosted here. Is there any way that I can be a paid
    member and have my script still hosted on the gamma server? Delta's driving me nuts.
