Hey, I was wondering if there were other Christians on this forum from the US. If so, please post
here so I can get a general feel of how many there are. Also, I'm surprised no on else has
posted this under United States topic.... but oh well....

Hi! friends, we are all here... but how did we reach here? Lets take a poll, may be this info will

I think it's easier to use forum hostings than setting up your own because, well, setting up a
forum is pretty hard. And at least you save some space /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"
emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> So what do you guys use? I found Forum77 and
Forumer (both Invision Power Board), and they seem to be pretty good. Any comments on those two? Or
are there better ones? Or do you prefer to run it on your own?...

Many people use phpBB,Invision Power Board to make english forum. But did you hear about on
Discuz?? I am Hong Kong people and i can tell you about that. Discuz is created by mainland China.
Many people use it for chinese forum. It is freeware but of course you can apply for business
version. Since it is free of charge, peolpe can improve it togeter. I think Discuz is more powerful
than phpBB and Invision Power Board. Because it have many functions such as ,Devil system, pet

I have a forum right? I need some more people on it. Could someone please share their tips, how
they got their members, how many, etc? Maybe OpaQue could give me some advice. I am trying to
offer some services people will like, really basic hosting, maybe games, support. What else? Ideas
anyone? My goal is to get to about 5 signups a day, which is really small. Any programs out there?

Concidering it is a part of the rules that we put signatures in the signature portion instead of
typing it every time you make a post, i made this to tel people how to put the signature up for
people to see. It will automaticly be added to the end of every single post you make! First Off you
need to go to "My Controlls" which can be found in the top right hand side of the screen...
Once you are in your controlls look on the left hand side for "Edit Signature" once you are
there you should see a screen like this that shows your current signature for ex: mine ...

In the fantastico section of the Trap17 cpanel you might have noticed that there is an opportunity
of have a Forum installed on your Hosting account. One of the available Forums is phpBB, and last
time I checked, the version on the fantastico was something like 2.17. The newest production
version is phpbb 2.21 and it includes all the latest fixes and bug squashes. The 'new'
phpbb is version 3.0 Beta 2. This means it is not yet suitable for an actual production environment,
but it is solid enough to be made available to user for testing. Phpbb 3 Beta 2 version...

Since January, hackers have hit hit over 500,000 website, with everything you could possible
imagine; viruses, trojans, malware etc etc. As for the types of websites, sadly to say, these
websites who are getting hit are running PHPBB forum and the worse part is htey don't mention
which version of the phpbb forums are getting hack. So it is safe to say any version below 3.0 is

I wondering...is there some place where I could get a free forum with no ads and has the cash mod,
shop mod, and stuff like thaT? I've been searching forever for on but I never found one!...

I'm going to come right out and say it. Computinghost has regressed tenfold, yes we have the new
mycent system but the new plans well... they're a joke, what cost me $35 a year ago would not
cost me $80 under the new logic plan, and thats without the unlimited mysql, domains etc. I
don't want unmetred bandwidth and space so it will have to be the logic plan. What I wan't
is the old plans, where you pay a SET price for a SET plan with unlimited features and a varying
amount of bandwidth and space depending on the plan, the logic system charges $10 dollars ...

Well I just thought of something...the message board is a little bare at the moment. Shouldn't
the mods add a few more to cover other topics, especially in the Life category, say include one for
Sports, Media, Humor, even a Debates section where we can discuss important issues. The point here
being that with more topics, users will stay longer and not be stymied by lack of things to discuss.
Of course post count will be an issue, but in the long run we can help our webhost coz there's a

I know I've done this before, but this time I have most of my forum completed and I want to know
what you all think... Comments, suggestions, changes? Be cruel if need-be. The forums will be the
center of my website, which is why I decided to start construction there instead of building a large
