You've got a valid XHTML 1.1 button on your site yet you've got a HTML 4.0 doctype (it's not valid HTML 4.0 either by the way). And with an HTML doctype you shouldn't have the XML prologue in front of it (you shouldn't have it at all for IE cos it puts it in quirks mode).

ok to me your layout needs to be canged with a navigation system or something to clean it up. not a site i would go to. is this your first website you've made? I give it a 4/10

It's okay I guess. The site looks...simple to make, but very messy, you know what I mean? Some of the links don't work either, so you gotta fix that up. I'd give this site a 3.5/10.

Its good for a first timer. I'm not saying I'm any better though. hahaha. It would be better when you get hosting with trap so that you don't have to use ad supported scripts from Bravenet or anywhere else. The display isn't eyecatching. There are some informational stuff on there I found useful. 4/10

Agree, i really don't like the layout, you need to improve that if you want to people stick around, you should also get a domain like .com .net, etc, i think people gives more attention to the site if it's not a free domain, at least i do, but its only my personal opinion.  I give it 5/10 just because the content, the navigation it's a mess!!

Okay, thank you for all opinions. I have predicted that the navigation is a bit "off", it says "First-time web developers might cause users to navigate confusingly through the site". How do you suggest I change the navigation and layout? The domain name issue: I will consider that later. Some links that don't work exist on the games page. It is valid XHTML 1.1, please revalidate. It has been all the time. Thank you for all opinions.

And you've obviously chosen to ignore what I wrote about not using the XML prologue with IE. You need to do some reading about what doctypes are available, how they should be used and in which circumstances and with which mimetype instead of just copying and pasting. For instance, your page will never validate as XHTML1.1 when you're using this: CODE <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> It should be this: CODE <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> but you can't use that mimetype with IE cos it doesn't understand it.

I think that you made very poor design. Please check your text decoration routines at download section. Your "Chat" button returns to hosting provider site! It's a scam!!! Totally - non professional site design and content.

What's wrong with table layouts? Some of the most popular sites use them, bbc, miniclip and all IPB-based forums. They can also be a great way to start designa successful layout: HTML <!XHTML DOCTYPE AND WHATNOT>

</html> That code will produce the basis for a site with the navigation down the left hand side. If you add some small-sized images as backgrounds and as the header, you'll site will look nice and be quick-loading. As navigation is on the left hand side, you can have an infinite number of listings without producing annoying horizontal scrollbars. If you want you could just use premade templates from sites like css beauty.

You site has a good content but is poorly designed. On the top image menu the last two menu 'email me' and 'get firefox' menu images are not displaying in firefox browser. May be you need to check link to the image url. I suggest that you firstly you fix the width of the webpage. And I think the portal banner should be made smaller. It is too big that for small screen it almost occupies half of the page. And why use bravenet guestbook. There are many other better guestbook. Bravenet is full of advertisements here and there and those are specially annoying ones.

Okay. I have decided to close the website temporarily. Please give me suggestions of how to make "cool" layouts. And also tell me how to improve navigation. I want some tips on that. Keep these points in mind: - accessibility - valid XHTML and CSS - good design - not too cluttered - speed - Gecko/ Trident/IE compatible - page width (the content is the point of the page, not the design) - NO FRAMES or TABLES for layouts! Please suggest some ideas, as I wish to implement some into my website. Thanks for the comments.

A fansite for Canadian Actress Zoe Belkin (1) Hi, I know this site is not very artistic but I've created it so that it can be seen on a 28
kbps modem with decent speed. So that it doesn't take a lot of time to load. So I've
designed a template & used it to display page specific content. This helps me to cache the design &
logos and change the [age specific content at a decent rate. I have myself tried to load the pages
with 33 kbps modem and it loads in almost 5 secs for the first time and later for the next pages it
just loads in a flash. Man it's awsome. I didn't think it will work in thios....

My New Portfolio Site
need a review if you have time thanks (3) I've always started projects and never finish because I try and do too much but this time I
figured out I really need my own protfolio site when going for a job you need one, people want to
see your work and having it online in one location would be much nicer then having them go to

Finally Hosted on Trap17!!! (18) I've had a hosting account here at trap17 for a while now, but I haven't put any sites on it
