| | Ok. I just realized. I need a new graphics card. Currently, I have one built in to the mother board, but it takes up tons of ram and slows down my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions?
<$130 Please.

What is your current one like? Are you planning on using it to enhance the quality of your games? There are a lot of good ones out there, I would stick with a Radeon 128 or 256MB. They are cheap and I have enjoyed mine so far. I would choose PCI over AGP too if you can.

Well, currently I have a Radeon 200xpress, and that takes up my main RAM. I just want something better than that, and that doesn't use any main system resources.

Yeah, you first have to check what type of slot you motherboard has available for the graophics card. Then just go to the store and get one that fits that slot and has designated ram (which all separate cards do). Definitely get a card with atleast 128 mb preferable 256 mb or else you will still run into the ram issue you currently have.

I have an open PCI and PCI-express. I'm looking for something with 128MB of DEDICATED memory or more.

Anyway: I am not an expert on Graphics cards by any means, but I did managed to find a 7600GT, which looks good. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130062 ) Also in your price range are the x1600s, but if you go for one of those, get the 256Mb version, as the 512Mb version isn't worth it, unless you do something like video editing. If you were looking for something cheaper, there are cards like the 6800 (nVidia) and the Radeon 9600 still can just about play the latest games, but not at high FPS. Listen to other peoples adivce over mine though, as I said before, I don't know much.

i'd go with a 7600GS. it wont play the latest games on the highest quality but it'll do you good for $130. might be hard to find one as cheap as $130, but at my local store its about that. its AUD btw, if you're in the US it'll be much cheaper, you might even be able to get a 7900GS if your lucky. if u can afford the jump to the 7900GS its well worth it. you could say the power of it is almost dbl that of the 7600GS.

Integrated graphics card sucks very badly. I remember how a friend of mine was using Intel Extreme Graphics and it was so bad, within less than a month, he could not play the Sims 2 and we all know how much requirements does that game need and it is not really that intensive. Another thing bad about integrated graphics card is that you are pretty much stuck with that graphics card unless you change your motherboard. I think when it comes to hardware, not bundled hardware, you get pretty much for what you get. Glad to know you have found what you want though But when it comes to Graphics card, I would prefer Nvidia or ATI. These are the 2 brands which I trust fully in.

If you can pick up a GeForce 7600 GT or GS then that'll be the best bang for the buck. That card has 12 pipelines and is based on a fairly new architecture so you're gonna get all the shader support. My cousin has this card and it's way better than the ATI cards at the $100-$150 range.

Which Graphics/video Card?
The Almighty 8800GTX or the Uber Overkill 8800Ultra? (5) Just out of curiosity I want to here your opinion, if you were making a computer and there was a
choice of a 8800GTX and a 8800Ultra which one would you take. The logical answer would be the
8800ULTRA since it has higher clock speeds, better looking etc but I've heard some people say
that the 8800Ultra overheats your computer, too big, and uses too much power. Others say that the
8800GTS is much more worth the money, what do you prefer?....
Thinking Of A Preferable Hardware 4 My Pc Upgrade

Graphics Card/monitor Issue

have a RECENTELY purchased 258mb GeForce 5500 graphic card. I installed it on my computer, a long
with the drivers.. What I didn't do!; Stupidly enough, I never plugged my monitor into the

that out today when I tryed to play fable, and it yelled at me for not having a good en....
8800 Series Graphics Cards
(1) So, what're your thoughts after seeing it in action in some form or fashion? NVIDIA has showcase
at http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce8.html , though I'm wondering why they haven't
released any tech demos for at least the basic stuff you can do (or at least for those with Windows
Vista RC1/2). The thing that trips me out the most is the water effect (the DX10 geometry shader).
The Quantum Effects technology I'd have to see in another form or fashion. But geez, the 8800
kind of creates a whole new ball park of terms we have to know. Instead of pipeline....
Graphics Card
(4) The first graphic card, introduced in August of 1981 by IBM, was Monochrome Display Adapter (MDA).
The monitors that used these cards were typically text-only with green, amber or white text on a

Hercules Graphics Card (HGC), followed by the 8-color Color Graphics Card (CGA) and 16-color
Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA). When IBM introduced the Video Graphics Array (VGA) in 1987, a new
graphics standard came into being. A VGA display could support up to 256 colors (out of a possi....

Macbook Graphics Down Grade
(0) some news for the mac fans There is a rumor going around on the web that the new macbook has a
graphics down grade from its old g4 brother. some of you might be thinking i am just talking crap,
but it looks like that the new macbook has its graphics capabilities somewhat intergrated with the
intel chip. this puts more processing calls on the processor and less on the graphics card causing a
lower graphics speed and performance. the old g4 did not do this, it only had the graphics card do
it seperatly. the thing with the macbook is that it is a daul core so this could hel....

Upgrade From Amd 64 To X2 Worth It?
(3) Sorry if this has already been asked but I couldn't find anything on it. I basically have a
pretty decent gaming machine which the essencials consist of my Athlon 64 3000+ (754 socket), 1 GB
(2x512) ram, and a 6800 Non-ultra. The thing is though, the AMD X2s are really looking attractive
now, probably getting the 3800+ X2 because it seems to be the most affordable right now. FRom what I
understand though is that the two cores are not actually clocked individually to the level that a
single core 3800 would be clocked. Does this mean that when playing a game (that isn&....

A Battle Between Cheap Graphic Solutions
