This is referring to my cell phone problem...the LCD screen being cracked and supposedly getting repaired! I had to pay an estimate fee of $50 but they never told me they were going to use it for LONG DISTANCE calling to order the screen. I remember them saying it was for the screen and repair because the screen is usually $50-$70 (+repair fee). And I'm so mad that I can't get my money back. Maybe I'm being a child about this, but you've got to see this from my prespective (ok maybe not...)! I just feel, they could of e-mail Rogers to order the screen or the other companies to ask for the screen. Also, I specifcally told them that my phone work PERFECTLY FINE but they had to look at it anyways and they costed my money as well...:'(

Wait, what? They—a phone company—used your cell phone to order the replacement LCD screen and charged you for making the call? That's not right. Plus, they're a phone company—they should have plenty of phones themselves to order the screen. I'd argue for that money back.
Yeah that does not sound right, I know there are so many crocked businesses out there. When rules or ethical practices aren't followed like this that gets to me. I'm sorry for your loss but like truefusion said it may pay to try and get some of your money back. You have nothing to lose other then a few minutes of your time talking to them?

Ah, okay. So basically they got the screen for free but used the $50 for the phone calls and for themselves? Interesting sneaky way to make business.
On monday I experienced something that I haven't in a long time. Good customer service. I work
in the line of customer service, and I have come to the conclusion, there are different levels you
can provide. True customer service is hardly ever given anymore. For example, I ordered from
McDonalds recently and I ordered a McFlurry and a Sundae. I was given a McFlurry and a Shake. It was
at the start of a minor busy period (3 or 4 people were behind me waiting to order), so I waited
until the others were served, and I said to the lady that served me in a polite tone, "I....
I work in customer service, taking orders over the phone and such. I Really don't understand
why people are rude to us, I can't help but think of the old adage, "Don't bite the hand
that feeds you" to me being rude to the guy whos writing down what you order doesn't make sense.
For example (I work with pizzas) oops, it was hot sprinkles, not half sauce? oops. I bet that
burned. I can understand people complaining for a genuine reason, something wrong with the pizza
or it was late or such, but people ringing up and complaining, then talking your ear of....
Okay The other day the new jersey office of the Nations Weather Service put out a servere thunder
storm warning for my area. No big deal really, But when the storm did get here, it was nothing. 1
little rumble of thunder and some rain, no wind or hail. I have lived in new jersey for 9 years and
Never have I seen our NWS get a storm right! When I was growing up in Mississippi, They would
put out a Thunderstorm or Tornado Warning or even a watch, They had it right. There would be one of
the two if not both. Up here they just love to cry wolf, if the weather looks eve....

I got a laptop for graduation and the internet wouldn't work. I take it to the store where I got
it from. They say: "yes, the internet does work" I say "um, no it doesn't." "It does though."
"But when I called you guys, the guy on the phone said that he sees this problem all the time and he
had a software that could correct the connectivity problems" They say "Um, I've never seen this
happen and we don't have that software" "But he made a specific point of mentioning, 3 times if
I remember correctly, that he was so tired of people coming in with ACER ....
UPDATE 5/2 : The seller is no longer registered on ebay! (posted this on my online shopping

I just answered the phone and it was for the last people who had this number. It's been over a
year now and people are still calling for them. The one upside to this is that the people have a
hilarious last name. But that's getting old. The first problem with this guy who just called
was that he was screaming. He was so loud that my ear is still ringing. The second problem was that
he wanted to keep talking to me after he found out it was a wrong number. I know telemarketers
sometimes do that, but I have this problem where any strange guy who calls wants to keep....
I downloaded something...I haven't figured out yet, that caused me to have an extra 80 dollars
added to my phone bill this month. What happened was that I didn't read the terms of services
for this download and then my modem dialed up to a 900 number for the download. We called the phone
company who told us this was from www.infoservices900.com which does this services for a lot of
companies. I called the number on the website and they couldn't tell me anything about the
download except reminding me that it its completely legal and that it was my fault for ....
Doesn't it just gall you when people are inefficient at their jobs? I received a phone
call from a woman at BMG music with a 7 free CD offer about 10 days ago. She wanted me to select a
free CD over the phone so she could send it right away. I inquired about the cost of shipping and
handling, which she said was $2.00 on this special offer. Hmm, not bad thought I since it was
usually around $3.00 or so. I asked what CDs were available to me for free choice and she said
name one. I did. She said she would send it to me with my new membership pac....
so we moved about two months ago. just like 50 meters acros the street. and when we moved it took
the phone company 4 days to give us a like for the phone and our internet was nowhere to be seen. so
they said ok on november the 22nd you will have your internet line. so i call nearly evey day to
make sure they got it right and today they say. "oh we lost our applications form somehwere. we will
try what we can to get you internet as soon as possible." well if for them soon is in another month
i might as well get satelite dsl. bla. stupid T-Com.....
I sent out a 36 dollar's money order over a month ago for a IRCD shell and it still hasn't

dollar's isn't alot to most people but for being unemployed it really is alot , ive asked
the provider if they have recieved payment and there answer was no .. so im guessing the mailing
service has lost the money order and honostly i don't see any chance of getting it back grrr so
mad! It's only going to the US from Canada , it should of been there 3 week'....
I've just moved to Pakistan, and the internet all over the country has gone down supposedly. i
heard that somehow the submarine cable got cut, but it's been a week and they're taking so
freaking long to repair it, if that's the problem. i can't access my personal site, yahoo,
Gmail, basically trap17 and a couple other sites are the only ones that work. why, oh why, does a
country only have a single internet cable? it's insane! I haven't been able to check my
mail since then and god only knows how long it'll be before it's back up. ....

So, I have this NetGear DG632 ADSL modem-router connecting me to the world. The product works all
fine - except that it has a lousy web-based configuration interface which refuses to come up at
