Im having a problem and i need your help.Actually i had a domain faisalabad.be hosted here on trap17.it was working fine and i could access to my domainand cpanel.but now i changed my domain name today and i got messege that domain changed successfully.my new domain is www.pakdir.com , but its not working and i can not even access my cpanel. and my old domain is also not working,can you please tell me how i can solve this problem and how i can access to my control panel. thanks
Be patient, it usually takes a day or two before changes to domains become active/visible. This is because it takes this time for the changes to be populated across the internet. Try again in a day or two.
if you still confuse about your domain . you can go to www.dnstools.com to check about domain transfer. i use this web for checking my domain transfer to T17. T17 has fast DNS server i think .. i need less than 1 hour for domain transfer.
It depends really on when your DNS updates. If your domains are pointed to the correct nameservers then it could take up to a day. When I changed my domain I always had trouble changing my domain because it would take about a day to update. Just give it some time and it will update.
Make sure that only ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com are present in the Nameserver change and nothing else. You can leave all others as is (for example, CNAME and A records still pointing to Yahoo. Nameserver option will over ride all of those automatically).
You can access your cPanel in the mean time by using this URL http://64.69.46.210:2082 and see your site by typing gamma.xisto.com/~cPanelName
My domain, www.blueinkalchemy.com, is currently registered with Microsoft Office Live. I want to
move to Trap 17 so I can more freely develop content using PhP and MySQL. How complicated is the
process to have the URL point to hosting space on trap17, provided I am approved for that space?

Ok I just bought a domain name from yahoo.com (www.ageofilluminati.com) Right now my website is
www.childrenofconan.trap17.com/index.html I want to be able to change my domain so when I visit
www.ageofilluminati.com it will direct everything. Forsay when I hit downloads it will direct to
www.ageofilluminati.com/downloads.html not www.childrenofconan.trap17.com/downloads.html. I havent
set it up yet and I just want to be able to change this information so it works. I know that the
re-direction thing is much easier to do but I want the site to be more professional looki....
I looked everywhere in Cpanel but I can't find where I can change the DNS records for my domain.
This is the only thing stopping me from moving my website over to trap17, because I need to manage
DNS myself. If I can't manage it then at least I should be able to disable it. And Trap17 offers
professional hosting so they shoulf offer this too. EDIT: There should be somewhere in Cpanel that
allows us to have Custom DNS Records, but I can't find it or it's not enabled.....

I changed my Domain URL from http://blukirby.trap17.com to http://seigikan.net using the
processing form but would there be any way to keep http://blukirby.trap17.com up for about 3
weeks with a page that says "we have moved!!" because the amount of hits I've been
recving has vastly descreased and it took me a lot of work to get so many hits, and not that many
