How do i change the player name in all the cs versions?

Hi shooters.. I am an addict of counterstrike, Everytime I host the server..Some players changes my name if I don't change to their requesting map... How do I stop that.. And how can I change their name too... Irespective of hosting it.

I'm not sure If they can change ur name unless they are admin. Please give better information.

Okay of what i understand out of your post, i will answer.
First of all,
To change your own name, go to the console first. By clicking "~" on your kewboard. It is the button beneath Esc. No need to press shift while pressing it.
Secondly, in the console type name "the name you want" . Dont put inverted commas.
It looks like:
name killer

To insert a space in your name,
name the" "killer
Here keep the commas

Other option is press Esc. Selection Options. In the Multiplayer tab, fill the name.
I know this is more easier! HeHe

Go to Options and change your name.
That player who will change your name, kick/ban him.

How hard is that?

    What do you think? Currently Counter Strike 1.6 is being played by almost 10 times as many as
    Counter Strike Source. I made the switch a couple of months ago and I now enjoy Source much more
    than 1.6. But the community generally disagree, if this is because they havnt tryed it and gotten
    used to it or if they just hate it. I think that source just needs a bit ajusting and such, and
    maybe have an include way of turning down the graphics so people with average pc's dont get fps
    drop. Its not quite there but I definitly think that Source will take over for cs 1.6 just....

    physics is this: when you kill someone, they don't just fall to the ground in a pre-animated
