A brief history of Champions LeagueChampions League is most popular football (soccer) championship in the world. Champions League started in 1995 when first French sports daily L'Equipe, mentioned that it would be good to make an European championship that would be played on Wensday's night. At first it wasn't ment to be just a championship for Leauge champions but only for clubs that would be invited by the term of bringing the most crowd to the game. As league evolved now it is played by League Champions which based on their UEFA league score table go immediately to Groups, or they have to play 3rd 2nd leg of qualifications. From 1955 til now there were 22 different league champions. Most dominating club is Spanish Real Madrid. They won first five league finals, and until now they have 9 titles. After Real Madrid there is also AC Milan with 6 titles, Liverpool FC with 5 and Bayern and Ajax follow with 4 titles. Even with Real Madrid having 9 titles total there was no time in Championship when only one club dominated. Last few yearsLast few years Champions League was awesome. All of the mayor world players from Ronaldo, Shevchenko, Figo, Ronaldinho, Kaka played in clubs that play in Champions League. Some clubs there like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Internacionale invested great money into buying new players (mostly from Southern America) so that they could make a team which will have the capacity to win their League Championship and Champions league. Even with all those investments rarely one club manages to win both runs. But wining on both sides really means that Club has the play and power. Some clubs that really fascinated me were Manchester United in 1999 they won both titles, in dramatic finals with FC Bayern, when they were losing 0-1 whole game, and managed to turn it to 2-1 in just last 4 minutes of the game. Also FC Barcelona played some awesome football last few years, and finally they managed to win last year when they played against Arsenal, while they were loosing 0-1, Arsenal had one less player (red card), and didn't have the power to hold the score till the end. Greatest of all finals i've ever seen, although was bad for me couse i'm AC Milan fan, was that played a year before in 2005. AC Milan, and Liverpool FC played a game in Istanbul. AC Milan just played awesome, and Liverpool didn't stand a chance. By the end of first half Liverpool was loosing by 3-0! I watched the game with few of my friends, and we were already celebrating - BAD! In just 5 or 10 minutes in second half Liverpool scored 3 goals and the game was back on the beginning. It wasn't like Liverpool started to play good. It was just that they had three attempts on a goal, and three goals. We just sat down in our chairs, and wondered what happened. By the end of the game AC Milan had much more chances for goal, but they just couldn't manage it. Game went to overtime, and penalty shootout, after which Liverpool after whole 20 years of waiting held the Championship Trophy! This year - this finalsBoth teams Liverpool and Milan gave up on their Leaugue championship a while ago. Liverpool just didn't have a chance due to Manchester United and Chelsea dominated the Championship (which was won by Man Utd YEAH!! ), and AC Milan was cought in middle of a scandal in Italian league last year when several clubs including famous Juventus were cought in bribing judges and fixing league results. That ended bad for Juventus which was kicked in Second League, and Milan started with 8 points behind the rest of the clubs, and didn't have a chance to win such a hard league with so many points in minus. I'm not much of a football expert, but watching last games from both clubs made me realize that they play really awesome football. Last AC Milan game against Manchester United in semi finals, at home, showed how powerful AC Milan is. They just wasted Red Devils, and managed to get with easy 3-0 win, which in total ended up 5-3 for Milan couse they lost the first game in Manchester with 3-2. First half of the second game was announced as One of the best halfs in Leaugue history where AC Milan played a perfect game. Liverpool had a tough challenge with League second runner Chelsea. They both played two really hard matches which both ended up 1-0. In penalty shootout Liverpool ended up better with final result of 4-1. OverallI don't know if you are much of a football fan. But watching great sports, no matter which one is always awesome. I wish i had a chance to go to the finals and watch it live. I just don't have, so it will be me and TV. Also a couple of beers and a good friends is a must have when watching football finals. I wish that Milan manages to win, but knowing both teams, it's gonna be a really hard game. I wish it can be as the last match of those giants, no matter even if AC Milan loses, couse it's not only in wining but it's also in playing football.

I support Man U I know since United are an english club I should be rooting for Liverpool... But forget about Milan, they're meaningless to United fans. Liverpool on the other hand have been always our bitter rivals, its incomprehensible that a United fan support them, its like a Roma fan hoping that Lazio win a CL, or a River Plate fan cheering for Boca Juniors. Go AC Milan! Wooo

All right, so its Lakers and Celtics in the finals. That seems a little odd, and ill tell you why.
Last year tv ratings for the NBA were terrible, along with the Tim Donaghe situation, made
basketball nervous. so they needed to get the fans back into it, so why not revive one of the
greatest NBA rivalries of all time? You had Garnett asking to be traded last summer, and poof!
Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are in Boston. Then you had kobe complaninig in LA. Then in the middle
of a cold winter night, Paul Gasol packs up and gets traded to the Lakers. And why not cause a...

The Celtics won the NBA championship. This kind of got lost in the Willie Randolph fireing (at least

wants to take the Rangers away from Ted Dolan. The league has filed a counterclaim against the

disciplinary measures that could take the Rangers away from Dolan. The NHL says that the Garden has
violated several league rules to which it consented as a prerequisite for franchise ownersh...
Your Premiere League Dream Team

For those who enjoy watching wonderful footballers in action - of the current crop of Premiership
talent, who would you pick in your squad if you were given the luxury of having any 16 Premier
League footballers? Even more difficult, who'd make your first 11? Earlier in the week Andy
Gray and Jamie Redknapp debated over who to put in their Premier League Team of the Season. Well,
this is a bit similar. Straight to the point: when watching Premiership football what players do you
enjoy watching most? I'm talking the most skilful, or maybe you love seeing a Joey B...
Are Leeds Rhinos The Greatest Rugby League Side Ever?
- (1)
Now, I'm one of Leeds' biggest critics when it comes to Rugby League. I despise Hetherington
for the Hunslet saga, and the recent wanting of £3.2m ordeal with Iestyn Harris. Apart from that
though Leeds Rhinos have blown me away this season. They are just a class above anyone else. I'm
a big fan of Rugby League and watch the sport as much as I can and have to take my hat off to the
Rhinos as they are just something else this season. They were the nearly boys for 32 years and
until 2004 hadn't won the top flight since 1972, since that though they have ...
Manchester United Are Going To Moscow !
- All English Champions League Final (3)
well well well. United pulled it out of the bag. And of all the people to get the goal it had to
be our main man Scholes. What a game. I think United fully deserved the 1-0 win and played very
well. Over the 2 legs we defended very well. After the Ronaldo penalty miss in the Nou Camp i
thought that was our chance. But what a finish by Scholes. A little bit of luck i agree but he took
it well. Anyway were there in Moscow and we will face Liverpool or Chelsea. Im not bothered who it
is as both will be hard games. But if United play like they didn tonight i wont hav...
Eufa Champions League Quarter Final
- (13)
The draw for this year quarter-final have been drawn. My team, Liverpool, faced a tough task in
playing against Juventus from Italy. Juve has been doing very well in the Champions League this
year, coming out top of their group in the group stage and beat Real Madrid in the second round in
an extra time in the second leg. Their defensive record really stood up as they only conceded 3
goals in matches, only one against the Galacticos at Bernabue. We also have to play first leg at
home so not conceding goal at home is a must coz we'll definitely find it difficult to s...

think it's a sure bet. as long as 1 Santana stays healthy 2 the mets can get another catcher.
and lastly They don't get killed by Milage and Laduca. From what I have seen and heard, the 2 of
them are not too thrilled with the trade and will be out for blood....

MY PICKS FOR THE RUGBY WORLD CUP - 2007 MY PICK TO WIN: Like many people around the
world, I believe that New Zealand are the strongest rugby nation. Although they had a surprise lost
to the Wallabies, I still believe they are going to take the cake (Win the cup). I also believe
South Africa have a very strong line-up, and they may cause a problem for the All Blacks. SURPRISE
PICK: I believe that Australia may be able to stun the world and win the cup. Although they have
had extremely poor results in recent years, they are starting to pick up their game. I...
Red Sox Are World Series Champions Once Again

Well after a stellar season the Red Sox's have proven once again that they are a elite team and
no longer a joke since winning the world series back in 2003 to break the 86 year curse that was
placed on them after Babe Ruth was traded to the Yankee's. Interestingly to note that the Red
Sox won the world at away games and have swept the series as well. So now that the season is
officially over who will the Red Sox's trade off or replace, and of course the big question will
be will they repeat? So congrats to the BoSox's for winning the 2007 World Series...

Nba Finals!
- Who do you pick to win? (6)
So fellas, it NBA Finals season! This year, the Cleveland Cavs are matching up against the well
trained San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have won 4 titles in the last decade and are one of the best
teams in that era. Personally, I think that the Spurs will once again become champions this time
around. The Cavs may be talented and they may have the Jordanesque Lebron James, but they are far
too young to compete against these Spurs. The Cavs only have one player who has a total of 11 games
finals experience. The Spurs have 8 players with a total of 108 games of experience....

Well Monday night, the 8th was the Home Run Derby in which 8 contestants dueled it out for the title
of Home Run King. Vladimir Guerrero won in the end with 17 home runs total. Alex Rios came in
second behind him. The first round was sort of slow at first but in the second round really heated
up with Rios hitting 12 home runs total. The game was held at AT&T park in San Francisco which is
next to McCovey Cove, named after a former San Francisco Giant, Willie McCovey. There were 300 to
400 kayakers out in the cove is what I heard, all waiting for a home run. Unfortu...

Okay so the NFL Draft is coming up (April 28th and 29th) and I was wondering who everyone thought
would be the first top ten picks. For those of you who don't know, the Oakland Raiders have the
first pick followed by the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals,
Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and the Houston Texans. I
figure the top overall pick will be Jemarcus Russel, though there is talk that it will be Calvin

I'm gonna go with CUBS vs TWINS I just think that the Cubs had a really really good offseason
and they are gonna dominate the NL Central. If Kerry Wood is back to his old ways this year than
the Cubs will have a good pitching staff. They picked up Soriano and they still have Ramirez, they
have an amazing offense. Now onto the Twins. The Twins have an iffy pitching staff but if they can
pull it together I firmly believe that they can win the AL central. Now if they do in fact make it
to the series I don't see them beating the Cubs. If it's twins vs Cubs i...
