| | I am getting very frustrated as I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install phpbb completely.
I've uploaded all the files using FTPSmart. I think clicked on the install.php fine, and was taken to the screen where I fill everything out. It says I successfully did all that:
Your admin username has been created. At this point your basic installation is complete. You will now be taken to a screen which will allow you to administer your new installation. Please be sure to check the General Configuration details and make any required changes. Thank you for choosing phpBB 2.

However, when I click on the "Finish Installation" button, it takes me right back to the Install PHPBB screen that I already filled out!!!
I am so confused and frustrated by this and cannot get it to work. Please help! |

where is your install.php file located? Like for example public_html--admin--etc wheres yours? find it and tell me

ok well are you doing it view the website? Or are you installing it using your ftp client, and just going through it using it like that? well you need to view it here.. http://www.sagaofhope.trap17.com/forum/php...all/install.phpif you didn't then do that, otherwise idk how to help, i havent used phbb or anything like that

That's what I've been using. I've deleted everything and started again three times, and still no luck. This is awful

Ya well I can't help you sorry, are you sure you added the database, permissions, and database username correctly?

I didn't change anything with the permissions of the database, but yeah, I did username_databasename.

Well, I guess you better check the permissions on the databse you created, even the password and stuff. It happened with me 5 times with WordPress and in the end I figured out that I skipped one letter in the password.

I think I might have found the problem... I have to make a username/password combo for the Database to use, right?

in username did u put databasename? cuz the username is really just your cbox username, it automatically adds the username_ to the front of database name, so make sure you didnt do like rosaline_rosaline_databasename (like you typed in rosaline_databasename) and for permissions did u add the username so it has all permissions ot the database?

Oh well. You did CHMOD them? Or better yet, download another fresh copy and then upload it, guess you've already done that. Anyways, what you can always do is if you trust someone on this forum, you can let him/her to the uploading and setting up for you, maybe while one of the moderators are free. Some who are experienced with phpBB, like jlhaslip. Ask him like around when he'll be free for 5 minutes.

lmao, or you could just download the files, and see which one your missing in the admin folder lol...And to do it on cpanel, just click on the file yuo need to change, and click all the boxes...but ik you don't do that with all, idk which ones. But it should say in the tutorail.

Network Install Linux On Laptop With No Cd Drive?
(6) I was hoping some linux tech heads here could give me some pointers about installing linux onto a
laptop I have which has no cd drive. To make things worse it does not even boot from usb. I had
installed XP on it with an unattended install using the /makelocalsource switch which copies files

Os X Leopard Upgrade/full Install
