Hi there, I'm new in here, but came from astahost and am trying qupis now. BUT it seems that cPanel from qupis, either bakr2k5.qupis.com/cpanel and mu.xisto.com/cpanel, refuse me from connecting! Because I CAN access it using a proxy! Last week I tried for some help at the computinghost live chat thing, and I've also send emails to qupis, computinghost and xisto. None of them reply back, although the guy at the live chat said they would get back to it true my support ticket, well it has been like 3/4 days now. So I decided to post it on here! Also the guy at the live chat said he checked all firewalls if my IP was present but he said it wasn't. Don't know if he was talking the truth or not, but I didn't really trust it. I hope someone in here can help me, because I really want to try qupis for a while! Thanks in advance, bakr_2k5 (The Netherlands)

Try again this morning!

I had exactly the same problem late last night, could not connect to cpanel at my site or at the xisto server
And I could also connect through other means.

Its all fixed. Just have a little patience!

Well I'd like to wait but this has been going on since 21 March that is 5 days. But I'll for another few days, and see if it's fixed because it's getting me slightly pissed of...

I've send an email to my ISP because I suspect they are blocking certain ports! Got on that idea after reading some posts in the hosted member support forum. Thank you for the inspiration

There is an IP limiting issue for registering accounts as well.
I had the same problem. I think the Register software checks Trap17 and Astahost against the IP addy for new Qupis accounts and denies if the IP's match. I might be wrong, though.
Also, I think it checks user names, too, but then again, I might be wrong.

QUPIS cpanel is working just fine for me just now. was able to login successfully on my qupis account, without any troubles.

if you get a certificate popup, accept/confirm it so you can proceed to your cpanel. doublecheck your username/password as well.

and to make sure that all services are okay, check this page:
http://www.xisto.com/helpdesk/index.php?cmd=status

look for the MU.XISTO.COM service status at the bottom. at this time, all systems are green.

That doesn't really matter at all because I can't access none of the cpanels.
Trap17 -> Connection refused
Astahost -> Connection refused
Qupis -> Connection refused

So it has to be some kind of block on my ip or something.

Also I've got a reply from my ISP and it seems that they only block other ports like SMTP and that stuff.

Our servers are running STRICT FIREWALL security and HACKER Protection software's in background which constantly monitor activity.

So, If you fail to login to your account, email, CPanel, FTP or shell, Please Do not repeatedly try to login. (Failed attempts)

If a hacker tries to Login to your CPanel repeatedly, our system will detect his actions and ban him from our entire network. He won't be able to view any of the sites related to Xisto Corporation.

Hence, If you cannot view our site or your site, there are chances that you have been blocked. Do not panic, Just send a mail to Support with your IP address and we will unblock you.

Your data security and safety are very important to us. This step is necessary and many users think, they are not prone to attack. But, this is wrong. Our partner site gets 14 - 20 Brute force attacks daily. Thanks to the growing no. of sites giving out phreaking and cracking tools, abusing a site has now become a kids play.

Please remember, If you cannot login or view your website, simply send a mail to support with your IP address and website name. Do not try to login with incorrect username/password again and again. Failed attempts for couple of times is acceptable. When we are saying of abuse we are generally referring to Invalid username/password in your FTP software and it tries to AUTO-login repeatedly.

Usually, manual logins don't lead to detection of any suspicious activity. If you change your login details, update it in your software's immediately so that they don't try to login with invalid data (especially FTP Software's)

Signs which mean that you have been blocked by mistake.

1. You cannot access to any of our sites from your computer.
2. But all sites work perfectly on your friends computer or other Computer with different IP.

Good news for myself

It seems to be fixed now ... Maybe it was due to I was still hosted at astahost. Yes I DID terminate it but it took a while before the astahost forum changed my status back to just member. (I was already having negative credits there...) Anyway problem solved

Thank you guys for your help although it wasn't needed much I guess (Well it was needed but it was more like something that had to wait or something like that )
