| | I want to use a different character set to allow my database to be used in Russian.
Doing SHOW VARIABLES shows the character set koi8_ru is included. I tried to create a table using this but failed. I then tried an experiment and copied the following from the MYSQL online manual:
CREATE DATABASE abcd CHARACTER SET latin1
This also failed and gave me an error. I've tried every combination of quote marks and capitals and nothing works. Anyone any ideas?

Change Domain Name On Account Creation?
(2) My request for host account has been approved. In it I asked for a sub-domain. I have not yet
created my hosting account. Now I have bought a top level domain. Can I use that Domain Name
instead of the sub-domain I requested in my account creation process? Or do I have to first use
the sub-domain and then use the 'domain changing process' to change it to my new domain? ....
