| | I believe that when we were born, God set our future, and we can't change it, no matter what we do. We can practice all we want at something, but we still will not suceed at it. The problem is, we don't know what we were meant to be, so we try different things. We practice a lot at something, because we feel that it might be our future. So should we just sit and wait? What do you think? Sorry if I confused you or if I am just being weird. |

There is nothing to be confused in this. We've to just life our life daily as it comes, by judging what is right and what is wrong with the fear of god and perform all our duties promptly. IF we are correct then there is nothing to worry about our future. So cheerup and stop worrying for the future and take care about the present.

Well I think we can't change our future because our future isn't really there. It is an abstract object I guess you could say. I don't think God sets our future because he wants us to choose what we should do. If it was up to him we all would go to heaven. We choose our future and can change what happens but there was nothing there to change in the first place because it isn't a for sure thing. That is my thought on it.

Well if you want to believe in a more "scientific" future/fate, then start researching "Chaos Theory". Basically, the chaos theory claims that every single event is triggered by another one, hence, this already set loop can not be modified. So sitting and waiting is the result of you thinking that there's a fate in your life, which was because of this and that, which came from this etc. If this theory is true, people would be able to predict the future.... which also gives a new thought... Is it possible to modify an already set future?

Since 1 event leads to another event, we just need to have another event to trigger another another event to change our future. Like...do something and it will result in something! Tell me if i am wrong. Science aside, I do not think that we cannot modify our future. Fate lies in our hands, we hold infinity. Never underestimate yourself and give up because you think you are fated not to succeed. May the force be with you.

talk about yourself man... if you do something because you are afraid of god, that doesn't mean everyone is doing such thing...

Well you can change the future, but the future you changed, is the future that's already been set. So technically, the action of you changing your future, is your future.

I really have no religious view of this. I think the only reason we're here is to decide our own fate. I don't think any spiritual being has the power to say what kind of car you're going to drive, or which college you're going to. Those are all dependent on money, opinion, or grades - nothing religious about them. It drives me insane that so many people think of predestination as something religious, which its not. It just means that humans have a specific path in the world that they follow - which we do, to a certain extent. Most humans have a childhood with elementary school and hobbies, middle school with building talents, and high school with showing them off - then college to fully develop them. After that, you go through the world with what you've learned and do what you want (not that you can't before, but parents normally don't like the idea of you joining the circus right after high school). Your life is always in your hands, you just don't notice it at first.

Well, if we're going to talk religious about this (I am very deeply anti-religion, by the way), pastors will often say that one can pray, but one must attempt to accomplish what they want themselves and that God will help (kind of like doing all the work and when you're finished, you think you had help). In any case, the point is that you won't accomplish what you want to accomplish by sitting around. What does it matter if the future is set or not, if every decision has been made for us already and we are just following a plan? Since this plan is obviously beyond our ability to comprehend, attempting to do so would be a waste of time, at least at the present (note I am saying this for debate's sake - I personally think that free will changes everything so rapidly that there is no way to predict the future accurately and there may well never be).

I think God has a plan for each of us. If we are willing to trust God, it will be done. I think we should try things out, and God will tell us if it's the right thing. And just pray pray pray, lol

I love topics that really have no answer For those reading and are intrested in this topic, I would highly suggest you guys go out and rent Donnie Darko. Its a great movie that gives you this exact question. Is it possible to change the future and/or the past? As for what I think, I believe that as we make choices we change our future from what it wouldve been had we made some other decision, or not changed at all. But our future is also changed by the choices of those around us. This often forces us to change our future with some decision we make. But overall, I see it as a topic with millions of possible correct answers, often depending on what you believe (religiously often).

Well said. It's as simple as that. You decide your future, the actions and decisions you make in live will detrumine your future.Which brings me back to your qouestion, can we change our furture? The answer is yes we can.

The Future Of Microsoft

money. Most games do not work on Vista, but on XP. This causes Microsoft to lose a huge crowd. A

how safe will they be . Thanx to the sci-fi flicks of hollywood most of us have created a negative

in raw formats anyway). I have a couple clients that want work done in HDV for christmas even

significantly, the DOT has raised public awareness of transportation safety. It has encouraged seat

regulation. In other areas, it has funded construction for thousands of miles of highway, improved
the beauty and safety of the nation's roads, and recalled defective cars. It has salvaged
deteriorating railroads and addressed numerous problems concerning urban mass transportation. Desp...
A Substitute For Gas And Oil In Cars

If anyone has seen the movie I'm referring to then you realize how good of an idea it really was
in the first place. In the movie a conventional car that a normal person would drive down the road
today was transformed so that if you put garbage and other misc items similar to food and such into
the energy drive in the car it would use a sort of fusion to create a bunch of energy to power to
car. Adn the poof energy from things you were originally going to thorw away anyway, so why not use
it for your car? I was seriously thinking about the concept the other day and...
