I don think so... You cannot die because of your dream. may be a consequence of a dream can kill you. This is possible.

I don't think that it can kill you directly but there are some incidents of people sleep-walking and jumping off roofs etc. Also some dreams might bring back old memories that and might cause some people to commit suicide or something.

I'm just playing with the thought, if you got a heartdisease. If a dream are intensive, you're moving, your heart rate increases. its not so way out if your heart collapse.

I think that it is possible to die your sleep or by having a dream. When you dream the Limbic system that associates emotions with sensory information becomes very active. Which can cause or induce a stroke or heart failure. Also when you dream the functions that are associated with the left side of the brain become dormant. The left side controls language listening, reading, speaking and writing, thats why its impossible to read anything in our sleep. So we can only perceive so much in are dreams. So unless there not in a state of lucid dreaming and aren't aware of the dream (or nightmare) it can induce some kind panic and cause a biological trigger to release adrenaline into the blood stream and cause health problems. Possible? Yes but unlikely.

There's no doubt that the mind is a very powerful instrument. We can cause positive things to happen in our lives and set ourselves up for negative things to happen - just by our attitude and the way we carry ourselves. Yes, people have died in their sleep, but it's unlikely due to a bad dream, unless they had a failing heart and they somehow scared themselves to death. But even that seems like a bit of a stretch.

I don't think a dream can just stop your heart; however, if you have a weak heart and your blood pressure rises too high because of a dream i suppose it's possible, but I don't think you would die because you were shot in your dream, I've fallen miles in my dreams before and I'm still here

I have heard that you can die in a dream. If you dream that your falling and you hit the ground before you wake up then you will die. Of course this is just what I heard, but yeah life is full of mysteries so yeah.

I would say that in a sense it's possible. Think of it this way. A heart attack can be caused by a sudden scare or something very severe. This could happen as a result of something that happened in a dream. I know I, for example, sometimes wake up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare or whatever. This shows me that it is definitely possible to have something severe happen in a dream being that I actually remember it. Technically the dream itself wouldn't kill you, it'd be the heart beat or whatever that is caused from it. That's my view,

Dreams can cause to some chemical reactions in a human body. hope that everyone may agree with me. If a dream has that much of power, how can we say that a dream cannot kill us. A small change of chemical reaction may cause to die. I have heard that it is enough to die that increase or decrease the pH of blood by 0.4.

True I dream could kill you if you was in very poor health and it was a bad enough dream. But as for your normal run of the mill bad dream? I honestly think that could not happen. Now if you was to be Day dreaming and someone did not like it, and hit you in the head with a base ball bat? Now this is a differant story all together

In several dreams I have been eaten by monsters, shot, etc. Although dreams have caused me to do some very strange things. Several times while I was sleeping I would just sit up in real life really fast and not be able to remember what i was dreaming about... Also on Christmas Eve when i was little, I had so much trouble sleeping because of the excitement. When i finally got to sleep, I had an experience like i described before, but what makes this unique is that i didn't just sit up quickly, I sat up so fast I flew forward and almost off my bed... Has anyone experienced this or something similar?
