Boot Menu Has A Stuck Os - Remove it right away with this trick.....

Can anyone help with this issue? I have at least three machines at work that are currently booting
up to a blank screen with either hal.dll or ntosknl.exe missing error. The machines are running
Windowa 2000 pro. I have been able to get them back up and running, bu t I am a little concerned
that there maybe a virus. However, I have made sure my AntiVirus software has been updated and a

Hi , I need to know if theres a way to remove traces of a log-on from a system. OS is win XP.
I tried googling and so far I know how to disable the Last Logon on the system. I am authorized
to work on Any computer system but I don't want the other people to know where all I have
worked. Whenever we log-in on a system a new personal settings, folders, etc are created for

This is the problem: I wanted to uninstall some programs, but when I select them in the Add/Remove
panel there is no Uninstall option available. So I've removed the programs with brute force
(a.k.a. Shift + Del - yes, I know I shouldn't have), but now I can't get rid of the entries
in Add/Remove. I've tried to use a software called Add Remove Pro, but it doesn't see the
entries. Is there any way to remove them manually, perhaps using regedit? Edit: I should add that

Hey, I am running opensuse 10.2 using its the opensuse grub boot loader. Now I want to dual boot
with DSL running off my SD card in my laptops inbouilt cardreader. I know all I most probably have
to do is add a few lines to some file. But since I don't want to spend days trying to figure out

My computer has just developed an annoying little quirk: it spontaneously restarts in the middle of
Windows start-up. I have Windows XP Pro SP2, and every time it gets to the part of booting up where
the little gray bars fill up across the bottom of the screen (right before the Windows logo is

Ever since I reinstalled Windows a few days ago, I've kept the installation disk in my CD drive.
Last night, I removed it thinking that I finally had a stable installation. When I booted this
morning, I got a "non-system disk" error. I rebooted several times just to see if it was a fluke,

When adding in my old 40gig HD i had a lot of trouble formating it, due to the fact it had been
partitioned. So i used my XP boot cd to reformat it, Somehow it added a boot option saying there was
