  1. Books Into Movies - does it irritate you? (36)
Me and my girlfriend are both pretty big movie buffs, but at the same time love to read. Lately
we've been having a pretty big discussion about our distaste for books being turned into movies.
The most recent "big" book title to be turned into a movie is, one of our favorite book series,
Twilight. Twilight is an amazing book and I'm really looking forward to the movie. She,
however, is very upset that they decided to make the book into a movie as it will "ruin her view of
the characters." We can both agree that the movie will not compare to the book; however,...

  5. What's Your Favourite Book? Why? - A small investigation about most popular books (100)
The question is very simple, what is your favourite boook? And why? I have also added a small pool
about how many books do you read each year. Anyway my favourite is L.A. Confidential written by
James Ellroy. It's a very good police story with a intriguing plot, but it's also a
masterpiece of politic and social analize. The power games of institutions, the corruption that have
attacked police and government and the general undeground atmosphere are the pillars fo this
beautiful book. It isn't a simply police book, but a fresco of a society and of a period of ...

Alrighty. This is kinda weird for me to post this because I really don't read that much but
there are a few that I truly love! First of all, I really like "The Davinci Code" and "Angels and
Demon's" Both outstanding books! Great plot! Unexpected endings! Kept moving to keep me
interested! Very good! If you havent read either of them for any reason, religious or not, I would
suggest reading them! They are great. Now my truly favorite trilogy... or at least soon to be
trilogy, is the "Domain" trilogy by Steve Alten. Basically, its this huge story about the end of...

  16. What Is The Most Messed Up Book You Have Ever Read? - Tell us what books are really messed up, but not necessarily good/bad (18)
I myself just started reading the book "American Psycho" by Bret Easton Ellis. It's seriously
the most effed up book I have ever read. I was reading during "DEAR" at my school today ("Drop
everything and read".... hella retarded name) and my mouth gaped open in awe at what I was reading.
I was like oh em gee, dudes!! This stuff is messed up. This guy, the "protagonist" (Though the
reader kind of hates him too), is a psychotic. He is very homophobic and hateful towards almost
everyone . He rapes his girlfriend. He went up to this bum and started offering him l...

  20. Books Converted Into Movies Or Movies Into Books. - Once again I find a new topic about something and movies... (18)
Hello! I hated Harry Potter. It was good at the first few movies, but it just got worse. I have lost
interest. Unforunate Events was good, I liked it. It was funny, but in the movie the wedding play
was supposed to be before they moved into Monty's house. Otherwise, it would have been better.
If you would like to say which book should be a movie, say it here or share your comments of the
movies that are already out. I like books converted into movies, but the novels thay come out with
for the movies are weird. Most have 8 SCREENSHOTS FROM THE MOTION PICTURE! or, the ...

  29. Seo Books - Anyone know of any good SEO books? (7)
I am a big person on reading books when it comes to computers, that's just how I learn for some
reason. It is often difficult for me to follow online instructions. I was wondering if anyone else
is the same way, and has read a good SEO book that has gotten them in the top ten on google's
search engine for related keywords that you have chosen. I usually stop by "books a million" and
order or buy something there. So any SEO related title would help me out ( if it gets me up there )....
  30. Comic Books - And graphics novels alike. (11)
Hey guys. First post for a while (Mainly because I plan to start a site again). A few days after my
fourteenth birthday I was invited by a group of friends to visit central London. During that visit I
stumbled upon "Forbidden Planet", one of London's largest comic stores. Upon entering the store
I was slightly put off by models of underage anime women in risqué positions and the over zealous
use of face paint on some Emo customers- but as I traveled into the basement I was taken aback. The
pure amount of comics and the variety in styles and countries of origin was tr...
