Yeah so far there is not much to be bragging on these computers, it seems that the 3 specs are improving ever 3 years, and yeah I can brag my specs since right now since they are better. Of course instead of just listing them I just point you to the topic I made about it last year. Of course lets try to make this topic more livelier then just listing specs since this topic could become spammish later on.

This is a laptop with a 17" 1680 X 1050 matte display driven by a ATI Radeon X1600 GPU with 256 VRAM memory. The CPU is Intel's Core 2 Duo at 2.33 GHz with 4MB per processor L2 cache, a Bus speed of 667 MHz and two 1 GB sticks of RAM memory. It has built in audio that can interface with standard 2.5mm jacks or 2.5mm optical jacks, has bluetooth, three USB ports, each with its own power supply, one Firewire 400 port, and one Firewire 800 port. I usually have it connected via the FW 400 port to a Western Digital 500 GB External Hard Drive for back up and network access. Anyway, it's also got a "superdrive" which can CD-Write in the following formats: -R, -RW as well as the DVD burner which can: -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL. It also says: "Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO" -whatever that means. The chipset supports and includes Wireless networking via the new, unapproved 802.11 "n" standard. At the moment I've got a 160 GB Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 Hard Drive, but on another screen open while I write this, I'm in the process of ordering the new Western Digital 320 Scorpio from newegg.com and in a week it'll be installed and the Hitachi will be in the Passport case the WD is coming in. I'm also strongly considering ordering a 2 GB stick of RAM to bring my total up to three, but I haven't made that decision yet. And all I have to show for it is 300 stink'in days of free hosting!

computers (2 to be precise) you might wonder just two? well...in the same house there is another
room with more computers (it's another uncle's business) but some days the place is just
full or simply closed and the dsl phone line used to get the conection is from the whole house. So
my uncle's question was "Is there a way to buy good computers, cheap and new?". And well what
he wants to do is just to catch some clients when my other uncle closes his business...
The Future Of Computer's Games
- (12)
Hello, this topic could be in other subforums, but i want to talk about the hardware that is needed
to stay in the line of new games, I know that with a computer we can do more thinks like a console
(ps2, xbox, etc), but some people like me have a computer for only 2 things, 1. Internet 2. Games
So, thinking in the cost of building a game ready computer, I think that at the moment (thinking
that 64bit software is some far) is better to buy a console to play games, like a PS2 or the
expected PS3, and a budget computer to other things, this way is cheaper, and i think...
Good Dvd Drive? (and Other Specs)

I'm wondering if you can help. If I'm looking at a new DVD drive what would you recommend?
Don't worry about price range, I'll save up if I have to. Also, is there a reason to upgrade
my sound card? It's at the latest an '02 model. I'm at work now so I can't check it.
But sound on the latest games seems to work fine, aside from an occasional skip. Actually here's
a good question. I want to play F.E.A.R. when it comes out. Bad. It looks cool. I realize that the
tech specs for it haven't been released as far as I know, but would you ...

myself that building your own custom system is the most economic and likely the best way to buy a
computer, but if you were offered the choice of all the top brand names which one would you choose
and what makes it better than all the others. I have owned Dell, Compaq, IBM and an EMachine. In my
opinion the Dell was the best. The Dell was inexpensive to buy and was a quite stable system. The
Dell also had very little upgadability though, but man did it look sweet! The Co...

- Socket A and pretty decent or Socket 939 and poor specs? (3)
I am building a computer soon, and I dont know which to go for. I am leaning torwards socket 939
becuase I can upgrade to AMD 64 3X00 latter when I have more money, but that wont be for at least 6
months. So, then I started thinking about getting a socket A computer that has an AMD XP 3000+. If I
get the socket A, I can get a 128MB VC and a Gig of RAM, but if I get the 939 I will have to settle
with intergrated video and 512MB of RAM for a while. I am asking you this, should I go for socket A
or 939?...
Best Cpu
- Computers (16)
What do you think the best cpu is? According to what i have tried and heard AMD is way more powerful
than pentium. I heard that AMD gives you its full power for maximum efficiency while pentium gives
you about 80%-89% full power. This is why for all of you that have AMDs you better have a huge fan
for it or it will over heat. Has any one else found something odd about any cpu chips?...
