| | Hi guys. I have been using blender for a long time now, and thought I should post it here. It is 100% free, and made for both windows and mac. The interface is not the easyist, but after a while you will get used to it.

I thought I would just say that blender is a great program, and also bump this thread up again so people have a chance to visit the site and get a feel for it themselves...aswell as the program itself, I want to link to the first 'open source' developed film made primarily in Blender, as a taste of what is possible. http://orange.blender.org/Enjoy, after the long download.

I've used blender for awhile now as well and it's definitely a good alternative to some of the much more expensive 3d modeling software suites out there. It's also in open-source which means anyone can develop and add features to it making it come out with pretty frequent updates that include up to date tools and bug fixes and stuff. I agree with you guys in the sense that it was a little hard to use at first but there are plenty of resources on the net that go along with it, I've even seen some video tutorials of some pro 3d artists using it (sorry don't remember the sites though but I'm sure they're still out there). All in all, Blender is definitely something to check out.

blender is definately a great free software to use. also it is a bit difficult at first but there are plenty of sites offering tutorials for it.. One other thing there was no need to repost about blender here., since there are already about 4 differnt posts in this sectionon blender, use the search tool but i may be wrong

Harddrive "open With..." Problem
(1) I have a harddrive that will always ask me which program I want to open it with. It does it on every
machine that I install it on. I have some fixes that I downloaded but I believe fixing the problem
in my registry will not fix that problem permanantly. WHat do u think went wrong Wait a minute!

Cannot Open Display - Error
(2) I basically have some problems in accessing xWindow applications(SAS and nedit in particular) in the
server. i get "Cannot open display" when i try to access nedit and other applications. I did some
findings on this and thought this might be of some help to you. But I was not able to zero in on
the problem yet. The problem I guess, is the remote not able to enable the display to the server.
The display settings has to be set properly in the remote machine. Commands I tried
setenv DISPLAY xhost + DISPLAY=gl5705rk02:10.0 ....

A Cross I Made In Blender

how to import .unl files into SQL Server 2000 without Informix softwar (2) Does anyone know how to import .unl files into SQLServer 2000? My boss gave me this task to migrate
an old database into SQLServer. I don't have informix installed since the files were sent to me
via email. All files have .unl extension and I don't have a clue how to view them. I've

(44) What do you think? Currently Counter Strike 1.6 is being played by almost 10 times as many as
Counter Strike Source. I made the switch a couple of months ago and I now enjoy Source much more
than 1.6. But the community generally disagree, if this is because they havnt tryed it and gotten
used to it or if they just hate it. I think that source just needs a bit ajusting and such, and
maybe have an include way of turning down the graphics so people with average pc's dont get fps
drop. Its not quite there but I definitly think that Source will take over for cs 1.6 just....

Open Beta (6) I've come across another 3d MMORPG and it carries the name Ferentus . After reading some topics
in their forum, it seems that the devs are a bit screwing up on a translated korean game (Yet
another korean game in translation phase?>.>). With having had 2 character whipes so far and only 2
months away from official releases, i wonder if they can make it to the deadline, there are still
numberous of bugs, errors and leaks. Although the sceptic statements i just made, the game looks
