I don't think you have a good topic when it only have a topic with no comment ! A OS good for game , i belive it is win98se ! Suitable with very lots of games , Win xp and version later not support many as so !

DOS! I think. It uses much less system resource , so there are more left to the game .

I can see the point about DOS, but really.. what or when was that last game released that could be played on a DOs system? I agree with NuHoaXuLa. Windows 98SE is fairly stable so long as it is regularly maintenanced. And it supports the most games by far.

well if you look at the early gamming scene with most fps you notice that most of them are dos look at duke nukem very popular game but with dos you have to have either windows or mac to rum dos, yeah back in the days of apple and apple 2 dos was right thier but if you think about it now you would want to hang yourself. but yeah i would agree windows 98 is suitable for most gaming but it doesn't mean me or xp can't do as well it all depends on what you have for your os like video card sound card and all that good stuff. btw mac SUCK!

well DOS was great for gaming yes. But that was when all the Developers used to write their own hardware interfaces. Now that there is a standard (directX) how can DOS be suitable for gaming? It can't. Actually it can't be suitable for anything really. One point in Saint_Michael's post though, you don't need windows to have DOS. Windows was actually installed on top of DOS, especially with Win 3.1 and Win 95. They tried changing it in 98, but it was still there, just kinda invisible. And totally got rid of it in 2K and XP. Anyways, want a gaming OS? How about the OS in arcade machines such as Konami?

ey well DOS was good for games, but, as games get better, quality and graphic wise, DOS isn't so good, I use windows xp for my games but most of the games you have to set a compatability level, like for example, red alert 1, i have to set to windows 98.

XP works great for me. It can play XP-compatible games while having 95/98/2000 compatibility mode to play old ones.

Windows 98se is great at playing old games, xp is great at playing new games. why not dualboot your system and have both?

which is better for gaming (10) ive never ot into PC gaming for many reasons 1)Install takes forever 2)Inferior Graphics 3)
Nightmare seting up controller 4) always some problem or other but with console gaming rather than

My Gaming Complaints
Rant-away! (9) I am growing tired of playing Gunz online and being called a noob and being mocked on. It simply
irritates me so much that i cant enjoy playing my favorite game. It also bothers me that most
gamers take games so seriously. They take it so much they even create their own realm where your
not accepted if you cant level up. Theirs endless merchandise that keep their little realm going.
I by no way insulting any gamer, im just quite tired of encountering Halo fans over Xbox live. They
were the reason why i stop playing Halo. I couldnt believe that theirs actual books ....

Online Gaming (8) Great free game, called WarRock, F2P (Free to Play, just so you know if you have seen me use it
before and dont know what it means) its Battlefield 2 with toned down graph but free and really fun
to free, it is only really multiplayer but still a wonderful game..... loads of weapons to buy (or
rather rent) and vehicles to ride. I highly recommend it.......

Hlsw (gaming) Tutorial
Used if you have admin on servers (1) 1. Download HLSW -www.hlsw.net 2. Install the LATEST most recent update possible or there would be
no point of you trying to use HLSW with the old version. 3. Once installed there should be a
desktop icon if you checked the box during the setup. Now click on the icon and open HLSW. 4. At
top you should see "Server List" on the side of it, it should be set at "Custom Server List" 5.
Right under is IP/Port, type in the server ip and port (i.e 38.113.32.5:27015) 6. Below the top
part if a big white box. Inside you should see the server and its information as if your on....

What Is The Best Processor For Gaming?
Is it Intel or AMD? (33) What the above said....lol... I was browsing the Internet the other day looking for the answer of
which processor is the best for gaming, the compared processors are Intel Pentium IV HT E and AMD
Athlon 64 (if I am not mistaken...) Most people say that Intel is better than AMD but also more
expensive. While others say then AMD can be over-clocked and is less hotter than Intel. So know, I
