| | My vote is probably going to be for MSN, as it is extremely popular, sure alot of people use Yahoo, ICQ and many others that i can't be bothered listing, It has continued to stay popular even when Windows Live Messenger was invite only many, many people still used it either legitametly or they had found other means of logging in on with their email addresses, i haven't heard of anyone bothering to do that for any other messaging clients. MSN has continued to use newer and greater options, also there have been addon packs for MSN such as the widely popular Messenger Plus. With Messenger Plus you can add new features such as sounds and download new sounds from other users who uploaded them to the server. The only think i dont like is the tabs, they really make it look stupid, but i heard from a friend that you can get rid of them with some program. |

Msn is the most convenient simply because everybody seems to have it. I have switched to aMsn now though as it doesn't use up as much of the processor when its running. Before I was struggling to run Photoshop, Firefox & Msn at the same time. There isnt really a great deal of difference between normal msn & amsn, apart from the smileys are a bit naff. So far it seems pretty good though.

I give my vote to Yahoo! I don't know about the technical stuff about which is more safer, etc. but Yahoo gets my full support for the interface, specially smilies .. they can really make me express..

Why use so many different clients, why doesn't everyone just use the same one? Would be much easier, yes indeed. Let's all go get Windows Messenger (owh, got it already ) Windows Messenger > All

Windows Messenger? Yeah, right I'm using Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, and from time to time, ICQ, Odigo, Skype, aaaaaaand... Hmmm... Oh yeah, Google Talk... I personaly favour Yahoo over MSN, but I must use MSN, since my girlfriend uses MSN, and doesn't want to use Yahoo!, so I kind of use it just for her... Yahoo has those great emoticons, great smilies... The only thing they could put in, is adding a custom smilie, like MSN has... One thing that bothers me with Yahoo! is that it's kind of heavy on the system, don't know why... Maybe their working on fixing that, but hey, nobody's perfect (except for me ) Those would be my 2 cents... Yahoo! number 1, MSN number 2

For the best client, I'd have to say Trillian, since it combines everything into one. Think about it. Instead of 4-5 annoying resource consuming programs, you could only have one! It looks cool too

I use BitTornado because it's very reliable for me, although at times, the GUI seems to freeze,
and I get very mad when that happens because I leave the computer on for a long time, so when I get
back, I expect a finished download. I've also tried BitComet. I don't know if this is me,
but the torrent seems to take SO much longer to finish downloading than it does on BitTornado. If
you've experienced this, post below. Shareaza is another client that I've tried, but it

Filesharing
- Searching for a private filesharing client (5)
Hey all, I'm looking for a small but simple tool, to exchange files with friends and family. I
know that all IM programs have built in file-sharing capability but that is not quite enough for me.
All I need is a little tool which would allow resumes and possibly secure (encrypted) transfers.
What I'm looking for is kind of like FTP but server and client in one program and very simple to
set up. For those of you who know what WASTE is, it comes pretty close but it would be good if it
also would allow unsecured transfer just for ease of use. I'd love to us...
Trillian 3.1 Basic Or Pro

Trillian an IM client that merges your existing Yahoo, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and IRC. I like it because it
frees up some space, other than having all 5 programs if you even use all five you have one and it
also uses less resources this way. You can use audio and video with it and it even can support a LAN
messenger for just the computers in your network. Nifty huh. Well you can CLICK HERE to find out
more and download it....
Azureus (bit Torrent Client) Problem
- (5)
Hi everybody! I'm having some difficulties with my bit torrent client - Azureus. When I
download files (I usually download files larger than 400MB), the download stops at a random
percentage (but usually at the second half of the file)! 1st issue: I was downloading a 700MB
file, and by the time it got to 99.3%, the download speed hit zero. I was stuck in a "swarm" of
other bit torrent clients that have also downloaded 99.3% of the file, and nothing is
happening!!! I left it alone for about 4-5 hours, came back, and still 99.3%! I was
so mad,...
