| | Mine would be iTunes because its runs quickly whilst im doing other things otherwise it would be Windows Media Player 11. They are both great pieces of software and their sound is great - very clear. |

MPlayer wins every time. All music and video files (pretty much) are played quickly and easily. It runs on Windows and Linux, and you can choose a GUI to make it as simple or complicated as you want - or have no GUI at all. It loads quickly and easily, has all the options you need and some useful information can be displayed over your videos. It's also free!

I prefer Itunes for my music, and for videos I suppose it would be VLC player, there is something with their codec which fixes the bug in WMP of not being able to view divx coded videos even after installing the divx codec. Itunes is developing, the only thing I do not like about them is the part about adding the video to the library and that it takes pretty long to load up, but quality wise it is better than WMP IMO.

For videos it has to be VideoLan (VLC) and WinAMP for music. I can play almost everything on VLC and WinAMP, I don't know why I prefer it, but maybe because it's classic as someone already said and damn easy to use, it's interface has grown over me and I can't stand Windows MediaPlayer too.

Ah yes, my favourite by far is also VideoLan (VLC) as other's mentioned I found that it's able to play all my files, when many of my other players can't handle that many types. I do enjoy using Window's Media Player though to listen to my music, because of the playlists that I've created in there. But often I listen to albums and files full of music with the VideoLan player as well. It sort of depends on the time and files I'm after.

Now a days there are many Media Players, and its a difficult job to select a favorite one, because all have their own features and functions. But too I have a my favorite one, which is Video Lan and the Media Player 11. I love the media player 11 for its look and the videolan for its supporting many extensions...

Windows Media Player 11 Visualization
oddly poor performance (13) My windows media player 11 has seemed to have developed a problem. Well actulally it has always been
doing this. I am running a P4 (2.8GHz with 512 ram, 64MB vram), and when I try to activate the
visualization in WMP 11 all it is horribly slow and pixelized. I would guess about 5 fps Normally I
would just accept this and keep saving for a new computer but the second that there is something
covering even part of the visualization screen, it ups it's performance. If you put a separate

Wmp 11 Review
review for Windows Media Player 11 (2) Windows Media Player 11 for XP Review Ok, my first impression while downloading is… DAMN
this is a huge file. 22.9 Mb to be exact. So it took me about 2 and a half hours to download. Now,
the installation took a while, but it went smoothly, and gave me 2 options to use WMP 11: Express,
and Custom. Naturally, I like things done Fast, SO, I choose the Express use. The GUI is really
nice. The glossy look portrays a look of vista, while the 3-D graphics blow the old WMP out of the
water. Remember how WMP 9 and 10 had the “File – Edit – etc…” menu that appeared wh....

Windows Media Player 11
(18) From What I heard about WMP11, Microsoft's original plans for Windows Media Player (WMP)
11--formerly code-named Aurora--were fairly low-key, with just a few minor new features. That's
all changed: Microsoft has canceled Aurora, and the company is moving the Longhorn media player to
XP. Now code-named Polaris, WMP 11 will be a major release. There's just one problem: Instead of
shipping in November, as per the original plan, WMP 11 will now ship in a public beta during that
month, coinciding with Longhorn Beta 2. The final release is roughly scheduled for ear....
Window Media Player Or Winamp?
Which one you like? (34) Window Media Player or Winamp? Which one do you like? Reason. I like Both though I use Window Media
Player to play movie instead of using it to listen to music. Window Media Player I use it when that
I watch anime then having a codec attach to it. It is easier to watch it through Window Media
Player. Winamp, I used it to play songs. It is easy to use and simple. You can have a movie on
Winamp too but it is a bit hard (for me) to use through Winamp and play the movie. When you play
songs you have adjust a sound too, or tune it.....
