| | I am looking for a new laptop with high performance graphics, fast Pentium 4 processor, good for 3d animations and c++ programming. I thought alienware was the best option for me but while looking op other laptops I can not make my decision. I am on a budget of 3,000 dollars. I am looking for suggestions on what kind of laptops will be a good match for me. |

I personally think that alienware inflates thier prices too much. You should be able to get a laptop that is just as powerfull from another company for substantially less cash. Have you looked at Dell's XPS line. You should be able to get all the high end features you want for substantially less than if you went with alienware. Dell often has coupons too, within the last year a few times they had $750 off laptops 1500 or more. So keep an eye out for those. You could also look into barebones laptops. I got a pretty good machine 6 months ago with a Pentium M 1.7ghz and a radeon 9700 for 1200 bucks. It was a compal barebones built by mwave.com.

with that amount of budget you sure can get a powerful one, there's a lot on the market now, I would suggest researching and checking some review sites, here's one that you can use, http://www.notebookreview.com/

i have no idea if the best laptop have come out or exsit now Dell often win the laptop market by its good performance and price;i really like apple's product which looks coool from both unique shape and os.but it is not very prevalent before it uses intel processor.sony product is great enough as well,at least in asia.

Hey... I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, just got in kinda new... It's: Intel Pentium M 1.86GHz 1 GB Ram 70GB HD only ~5200rpm Ati Radeon X300 128MB I got it for about a total of $1600. Used a coupon from couponmountain.com (Great Dell coupons btw...) and a Dell sale. I got it with 512MB ram first and then added the 512MB which saved me about $100 and is probably almost the same performance because the 2 ram chips are exactly the same... If you're gonna get Ram, buy it later on, not while customizing your laptop... I think Dell is okay but I still do think they're expensive w/o using sale + coupon. You could get a Asus laptop which I hear are pretty good and cheap... I'd say rather then getting a good laptop for alot of $$, get one with little Ram, then add it later on... btw--If you're planning on getting a laptop with a Pentium 4 processor, and if you're a guy don't put it on your lap Penitum 4 gets really hot... AND my Pentium M 1.86GHz is the equivelence of about a Pentium 4 2.8. w/o the heat Good Luck!!

Best Way To Transfer Files
I just bought a laptop (6) Hi there guys, I just bought a brand new Dell Inspiron laptop for $729.99. It has a
processing speed of 2.0ghz, 3GB RAM, and a 250gb hard drive. I'm really satisfied, especially
with the wireless internet and the fact that I can carry my computer around with me, allowing you to
use your computer in comfortable spots -- outside in the shade, on the train, or even in your bed
where I'm using it write now as I type. If you didn't already guess, this is my first

New laptop from apple. (15) As some of you may know the macworld expo was today, and as even less of you know I
work at an apple store in california, and it was quite a sight watching all the employees and
customers huddled around computers as live updates from bloggers at the expo were flying in. So
anyway the biggest new announcement in the keynote was the new laptop: The Macbook Air. The
world's thinnest notebook. So anyway some quick numbers for those who care: .76

New Laptop Advice
Laptop technology (8) Hi, I'm looking for advice. I'm looking to get a new laptop. It will replace my current
desktop. Bascially it will primarily be used around the house, and occasionally for travel about
7-10 times a year (including at airports, on planes, etc). I got my last laptop back in 1999 so its
been a while. I'm looking at: Dell XPS M1710 (GeForce Go 7950 GTX) or Alienware Aurora
mALX I have looked at cnet and both of the vendors sites, but i'm still not sure. Does
anyone have any suggustions? the cnet review hinted that the mALX may loose position wi....
Thinking About Getting A Laptop.. [resolved]
(20) currently my computer is shared by all 5 people in my family, (well 2 don't use because they are
either moved out or too young, but they have at some point) and its hard to keep organized. So i am
thinking about getting a laptop, we do have wireless internet so thats no problem at all, only thing
is which to get? Money is a issue, and I don't plan on spending much more then $1,000 or so
on it. I want it to have a decent graphic chip/gaming or w/e, so i can play diablo 2 and age of
empires 3 on it. I will mostly use it for my designs and coding, so a decent a....
One Laptop Per Child
(21) This is the laptop created by Nicholas Negroponte. He is the co-founder of the MIT Media library.
Well basically he had this idea of allowing children in poverty stricken countries or developing
countries to have a laptop that cost only $100 USD. Its really interesting how they were able
to produce such a laptop and at a low cost too. The laptops are designed to educate and develop
their intellect. QUOTE O creates its own mesh network out of the box. Each machine is a
full-time wireless router. Children in the most remote regions of the globe—as well ....
