The moment I saw this topic I started the download. Thanks to a Firefox extension, it took only a minute to download. And I don't regret it. It helps make the computer faster and more reliable, and makes me aware just how badly I'm using it, but it isn't obtrusive.

Nice, but i prefer Ram Idle Pro. because it's already installed on my computer and i don't want to uninstall it and then install a new one...lol or have two of these programs..

I have this on my older computers. It's actually quite good, but I don't think squeezing memory is recommended for those who have more than enough. So only download this if you feel like your memory is lacking.

I would like to say what a wonder this application did for me. I tried installing it and see why it is so good. Before I optimised my RAM, it was standing at 242 and after I used this program to released some RAM, it has became 454. Almost a 2 fold increase! The wierdest thing is that I have 1G RAM and only running Itunes, Mozilla and IE but it has eaten up pretty much half of my RAM.

Im just curious to find out what is an optimizer manager, what exaclty is this used for, I dont know why but it seems like there are some many things out there that i just dont know about, and sometimes im like really clueless so i figured that if it really doesnt attract me i guess I really dont even need it, im getting along fine on my pc and mac without them

Itunes, I'm afraid, is heavily resource-intensive, which is one of two reasons why I don't use it (the other one being I don't own an IPod ). Mozilla also takes quite a few resources - in fact probably more than most browsers - but is not as intensive as most "resource intensive" programs.
