ya i have used HTML-Kit before and i liked it. But i cant find a really good one. I have been trying most of the ones i find so if anybody knows any good free ones other than the ones posted please tell me about them.

No, notepad is not free, you must buy it as part of windows. Try Notepad++, a code editor based on Notepad that IS actually free (under the free software license). Nvu is also good if you want WSIWYG capabilities. It is based on Firefox's Gecko engine, so the code it generates is pretty clean.
