The best firewall I recommend is the McAFee Firewall. One of the most best and cool software by which all hacker and virus are trapped and blocked and by this wonderful software we can trace the IP address view the city in world map and can find the path wow.... All things are so coool for us!!!

AVG is best Anti virus software. Now you can get AVG 7.5 for FREE. You can download the full version from here http://free.grisoft.com/You can also try there FREE anti spyware.

I use to use Norton Anti-Virus until my free trial ended. >.< Now I use AGV which seems to work pretty good, gets done what I need so I'm happy with it.

If you're looking for something free I'd go with AVG, as many other people have stated. If not, then I have been a longg time user of Norton products for internet security. I am currently running their antivirus program. As for a firewall, I am running Comodo Firewall. It is a free program that can be downloaded (do a Google search for Comodo) and it works great. For being a free version it has great features, you can manually open ports and such, which is great for a free firewall.. Definately something to check into.

IMO the best anti-virus is Kaspersky. It has d best scanning engine and its so light that it won't affect your computer's performance. Easy update, easy install good software.

Norton Antivirus is a good choice. Personal firewall is also effective however i have had a few security issues with this. Best free antivirus program IMO is proberbly AVG. Free and easy to install. Adaware is also free and easy but gets outdated very quickly. Works well with Spybot to target spyware.

My antivirus firewall combo is aNOD32 antivirus and comodo ersonal firewall. Both are excellent, not much intrusive. Learn easily and take u much less memory than the McAfee and Norton or even zonealarm. Moreover comodo is free.

NOD32 is the most lightweight non intrusive easy to use antivirus there is or ever can be. Updates several times a day as and when neede. Its developers are often the fastest to detect and patch viruses. And it ranks much above mcafee and norton on several antivirus comparision charts. Though Kapersky many be quite as good, I hate its intrusiveness.

changed? it happened to me... but i found a program that completes my anti-virus, a kind of
"Settings Firewall". every time anything is changed (desktop, internet conections, startup) it warns
you and let you decide to allow or reset the change. It has a sort of usefull tools to keep your
computer running well and it also block "web bugs". this is good because if your antivirus fails,
GSH will catch all the changes a virus/trojan does to your computer and let you reset them.....

(5) Anyone got that W32.Bagel virus yet? Supposably its spreading through Canada and U.S. Its pretty
vicous (smart setup tho). It makes files that sound like adult material and it puts them in folders
containing "shar". What that does it it puts those files that have the worm in them and those
folders containing "shar" like My Shared Folder, Shared Downloads, etc, the folders for programms
like kazaa and limewire, people download those files thinking they are downloading adult material,
but they just get the worm, and then it happens all over again.....
