It blocks viruses and i update it every week so my computer is pretty safe for now.
Any of you using NOD32? |

well i know i said i wasnt going to change what i used earlier but recently i changed from nortons to zone alarm and then to avast antivirus software. The reasons is that i wanted to reduce the cpu usage and nortons was killing mine. Avast is very good, free and reliable. The company i work recommends the people use it at home where they wont have the coorporate edition of nortons. Finally, for spyware i use windows defender. it is in the beta and is free and will come with vista. It is the best one out there and is free since they actually purchased the old best free spyware company and changed the name and such,

I've used Norton for a few years now and it seems to work fine. I haven't really had many problems with it. Just the usual occasional problems that you would probably have with any antivirus software. It has blocked any viruses that have tried to enter our system, with the exception of one that we got from Mozilla. But overall, it's a good program and i'm not complaining.

AVG by girsoft has to be my favorite, never fales me and saved my computer a couple times now.

Hi. I was using Avast, but it did not detect a few worms and i ended up with a keyloger and a few trojans. Now i use Nod32. It does not use a lot of RAM, and its reliable.

I use McAffe because so far it has kept my computer VERY clean, and god knows that I download a ton of music that could be infected. All I have to do is download the file, and before unzipping it or extracting it (Whichever word is more perferable), I scan it with McAffe and if it is infected I delete it, and send it to the recylcing bin, and then just delete it from there. Every so often I will completely clean my C:Drive, but it's not very bad like it used to be before I got McAffe. I think that when I had Norton that more viruses were on my computer, until I switched. I have got a total of 3 viruses on my computer, and they were all with Norton, and they brought pop ups, and stuff like that, so I got McAffe, did a virus scan, and I haven't had to worry about them since. I highly reccommend this program to anyone, and I think that it's actually free, or the trial is, but we bought it so...

I use NOD32 as I think its the best antivirus out there and it doesn't use much of the system resources unlike Norton and it updates once or twice a day. Its pretty simple to use too.

I use norton antivirus.. heee.. but need to pay money. Probably if free antivirus , i would recommed AVG! heee. it is the one of e best free antivirus. however, norton has its disadvantge and advantage.

Your view on it (12) i find norton anti virus to be more of a hassle than anything on my system. i currently have it

"Settings Firewall". every time anything is changed (desktop, internet conections, startup) it warns
you and let you decide to allow or reset the change. It has a sort of usefull tools to keep your
computer running well and it also block "web bugs". this is good because if your antivirus fails,
GSH will catch all the changes a virus/trojan does to your computer and let you reset them.....

(5) Anyone got that W32.Bagel virus yet? Supposably its spreading through Canada and U.S. Its pretty
vicous (smart setup tho). It makes files that sound like adult material and it puts them in folders
containing "shar". What that does it it puts those files that have the worm in them and those
folders containing "shar" like My Shared Folder, Shared Downloads, etc, the folders for programms
like kazaa and limewire, people download those files thinking they are downloading adult material,
but they just get the worm, and then it happens all over again.....
