For gradient text, I say use my program here: http://sang.trap17.com/apps/GT2.exeI made it myself with Visual Basic.  All you need to do is provide the initial color and the color to end with, and it generates the HTML code needed for you to put on your site.

by the way, you should also try ULEAD COOL 3D(gif animations) anim-fx (great flash animations) 1 cool button tool(flash buttons)

can make basic flash animations with pictures, test and shapes, but it is no where near as powerful
