I am not sure if Ghosts are real or not I'd like to believe they're real but I have never encountered one before in my life. I'd kind of like to though, just to say I saw one or not. But I do like to watch Ghost shows like "Most Haunted and Scariest Ghosts ever caught on tape". Have any of you ever encountered something in a Haunted house or Haunted Castle? If so tell about your experience I like hearing ghost stories and are always alot of fun to listen to. My mom said once her work is haunted by someone who commited suicide once and people who work there alone at night tend to get very nervous or things might be moved when they leave the room or they might have heard foot-steps down the hall way when no one else is in the building. And those who are lucky enough not to be there at night are not all that keen to stay there after dark they don't know what might show up and I don't think they would ever want to encounter anything. My mom and me are also planning to do a Ghost walk something soon. Take a walk around town and visit supposedly haunted locations and see if we see anything or not. But with my luck I doubt I'll be able to see or hear anything. So let's hear your Ghost stories and Happy Halloween to all members on this board and around the world as well. Try not to stay out too late you never know what might be lurking in the dark.

No, I donīt believe in such a thing. Thereīs nothing like an inmortal soul... or at least no for the non-believers. We are organic and when we die we rot and thatīs all. Itīs sad, so I guess there are lot of people that need to believe in some kind of life after death. But I donīt believe it.

I don't want to believe in ghosts. But everytime I look in the mirror at night, i see my own creepy face, i think ghost. Im afraid of the dark sometimes so I kind of believe in them. It's scary if you're alone at home and you hear a loud noise, every time that happens I think, Dead People

i dont think ghosts are real at all. i think its natural for people to think that there must be something after we die , but i doubt that there is. so if most people think that there is an after life then they start to twist things that they cant explain fully , say a door slamming shut by itself and blame it on ghosts , thereby proving in their own mind that ghosts exist and hence there must be an after life.

Ghosts does not exist. If you are a Christian then you would know that a soul cannot return to Earth after leaving its body until the second arival of the Christ. And for those non-belivers, when a soul leaves its body it goes to a higher dimension (non-physical form) so we cannot see it or make contact with it while being on the 4th dimension (physical form). So beliver or not belivers, ghosts does not exist.

I think ghosts exist. I swear I've seen one. It was the scariest thing I've seen. You can believe me or not but if you saw what I saw you would understand that there might possibly be ghosts. I'll tell you what happened. I have this thing where I have to turn on the hall light before I can shut my door because all the lights are off in my house and the house is one story. From my room I can see straight down the hallway and into the living room that connects to the kitchen. Well I didn't want to go into the kitchen but I needed a drink. As soon as I opened my door I saw (I SWEAR) some short, dark haired women look at me and walk in the kitchen. I totally thought it was my mom so I wasn't afriad to walk down the hallway in the dark anymore. So as I was walking around the corner to the kitchen I was about to ask my mom a question and I said mom do we have any... and then there was no one in the kitchen. I freaked and turned on the light, grabbed a cup and poured me a drink. The whole time I was getting a drink I did not turn my back. I swear I must have seen a ghost because I ran right down the hallway after , flipped on the light and went into my parents room. My mom was in bed. You probably don't believe me but from there on I believed in ghosts For all the "ghost haters" out there, take a look around and see there have been millions on people on this earth, who have "encountered" a ghost or a spirit. I believe that ghosts are around us and they are around us everyday. We obviously can't see them unless they want us to. I think that people who are "close" to God tend to "see" more ghosts than someone who doesn't believe.

i think ghost simply exist. Here is what comes to conflict. Its contradictory in The Bible. What if these people aren't Christian and other religions do see the ghost. I hope you get what i'm saying. I think they do exit. I haven't seen one myself but people i know said they have. I know that's not circumstanstial proof but some of them I believe. If there is a thing such as a creator than there must be other unworldy things such as ghost and angels. Its a matter of believing it or not. YOu can say I'm wrong. But thats what i believe. Hey I don't get it. HOw come Satan gets to come out? In the Exorcism of Emily rose a bunch of devils possessed the girl. lol. i know its a movie. It said 3 oclock was the hour they come out. Anyways you woudn't want ot see ghost. lol. they might scare you.

I don't believe in Ghots myself, but here in Thailand, the Thais really do believe in them. So much so, that all thai houses have a small spirit house outside for the ghosts to live in. They feed them everyday and believe that if the spirits are happy in their own little house, then they won't come into the real house. Heres a little story from last week: I noticed the lights were on in one of my classrooms. So I popped my head in and didn't see anyone, I walked out and turned off the lights as I left. This was greeted by screams from some students, who it turns out were hiding in the back, they were practically crying as they truly believed the ghosts were going to get them. Oh, and these aren't small kids we are talking about, they are 17 and 18 year olds.

When I was young I used to be quite 'preyed upon' by the paranormal. However, now I seem to be able to deal with it (I'll write more on my childhood experiences later in this post). There are people who can become 'immune' to the activities of ghosts, I think. For example, I routinely spend the night in any haunted house I'm told about. This isn't for 'fun' or 'kicks' it's more an honest investigation. However, I'm rarely bothered by the 'inhabitants' of various places, firstly (this is important) because intense meditations have made me very strong mentally and spiritually, but also probably because I have a very bad attitude. Basically, the attitude is this.. If a paranormal entity can't hurt me, my mind is calm and untroubled. If it CAN hurt me, then it might even kill me if I stay around it long enough. And if it does, I'll hunt it when I'm dead and put it through my dying torment again and again throughout eternity. And I would do that, believe me - with deathless, eternal hate. Somehow, this mindset seems spook the ghosts or 'inhabitants'. Anyway, when I enter an 'occupied property' they quieten until I leave again. It's actually happened several times. When I traveled I was often short on funds, so I would ask around and find a house with a 'bad name' - usually one in which a suicide or murder had occurred, and move in there. The fact that I used to stay in these places used to terrify the locals - they just couldn't understand how it was possible. ______________________ It was very, VERY different when I was a child - then dreams and the dark and 'sights' used to terrify me. There was a voice in the corner of my room that would cackle at me out of the dark. There was a 'sighting' that used to look like my mother, except that the top half of the body was missing. And when I slept it was most terrifying of all - a set of six black dogs used to chase me whenever I slept, through my dreams EVERY single night, just as soon as I closed my eyes. And in the shadows behind the dogs used to be a black garbed woman urging them on. Anyway, the dreams were the worst of all because I couldn't get any sleep, so finally I couldn't stand it any longer (I was just a kid) and I told my mother. And she told me, it's all a question of attitude. Whether you exist in this world, or in a spirit world or in a dream, you have your WILL, and if your WILL is strong, NOTHING will stand before you. You have to use your will as a WEAPON when you have no other weapon. Now, tonight you will sit and think of these creatures, and instead of fear, burn with anger, and when you sleep and the dream comes, FOCUS that anger on them. And it worked. When the dream came again (as it always did) I was like a god - in that dream world, I, a child, could do anything - I just hadn't realized it. And the woman and her dogs fled into the mist, and never came back. And I've never changed that attitude, instead, as a result of deep meditations and studies under some wonderful teachers, my will has grown much stronger than it was then. ______________________ The WILL is ALL - in this world or any other. And even a spirit in torment can still be afraid, of other spirits, perhaps, and yes, even of a mortal. Fear works both ways. Your will, your 'focus' is YOUR spirit essence, and if you work to make it strong enough it is feared in ANY world.

QUOTE(jcreuter @ Feb 8 2007, 06:32 PM) ok i decided to post my weird happenings because vbritton was nice enough to include me in his post
the events i am going to tell you about have been going on for a while now in our house lets start with the weirdest thing that happens it might not happen as much as the others is during the summer some times the temp in my room will go down to around 40 degrees when outside it might be somewhere around 90 degrees and when we have empty glasses on the table when no one is around the glass it will sudenly explode and last but not least every morning at around 6 am in the hallway by all the rooms you can hear someone walking in the hall but no one will be there. and there are sometimes other weird things like the tv turning off repeativly and other things like that.
even tho these events might seem scary it has never tried to hurt any of my family members of friends so we welcome it and named it Bob. I think it'd be interesting for you to do some research on your house. Who lived there before? Or, more to the point, who died there before? How old is it? Any Indian Burial grounds nearby? I'd love to hear from you the real name of this tormented phantom... Once you find out, that is... I used to work in a restaurant, when I was in High School, in Montana that was rumored to be haunted. I never was graced by the spirit. I worked in a building in downtown Seattle that once had a swimming pool in the basement that is now filled in. Apparently when it was a swimming pool, a child was murdered by an adult, by drowning, and to this day the child can be seen near the pool. Didn't see that one either. It's the sudden unexpected deaths that seem to produce tormented "lost" spirits who can't seem to realize they're dead. The next time you see a ghost, tell it, "Seek the light!"

Halloween Costumes And Customs

Even though Halloween isn't my favorite holiday, I still get pretty enthusiastic about it. Aside
from carving a pumpkin or two, I also like to dress up. Most of the store bought costumes seem
really cheaply made to me, so I usually try to make something on my own with odds and ends from the
thrift store and second-hand clothing or whatever I can throw together from my closet. I dressed up
as a princess in an old bridesmaid's dress, filled a basket with some fake flowers and made a
little flowered circlet for my head. Another year I used a red prom dress and wen...
Halloween And Christians

guys don't have a religious section. *Hint* I decided to just post it here. Feel free to move
it. So anyway, I will discuss with you what I learned. It's origins: Halloween originated from
Ireland and Scotland. It was celebrated by the celts for the end of summer. Suring this time, it
seems a lot of "darkness" was incorporated into this day. The people believed that the dead were
wandering around as spirits looking to whom they could possess. The people wou...
Halloween Is Local Not International Celeberation
- Do your people celebrate Halloween? (18)
On the evening of Oct. 31, millions of people in US and some other countries celebrate Halloween
with its symbolism of witches, devils, skeletons, bats and black cats. Children are dressing up as
ghosts and monsters . Many parents encourage their children to celebrate Halloween, assuming it to
be harmless and innocent fun. In recent times, children have taken up the practice of dressing in
Halloween costumes and visiting homes in search of edible and monetary treats, lightly threatening
to play a trick on the owner if a treat is not produce. While this allows children ...
