A HJT log file may be very useful. Otherwise, to clean you system there are some basic steps : 1. Upgrade to SP2 and make sure you have all the latest patches. Use nLite to create a slipstreamed cd of XP with SP2 (separately downloaded) and Rayan Vm's pack which contains all the necessary patches released after SP2. (both the softwares are freeware) 2. Download both AdwareSE and Spybot S&D and update the definition files (do not run scan yet). In Spybot S&D under Immunize click Immunize to protect against all malacious sites. Also udate your AV definations. 3. Disable System Restore and reboot in safe mode. 4. Run full system scans in AdwareSE, Spybot S&D, and the anti-virus you are having. Fix anything found in the scans. Reboot in normal mode. And if you still have issues then you got to post a HijackThis log file. Also remember to fix all viruses/adwares/spywares only when System restore is disabled. If you want to remove messenger and other Windows components then you can use nLite (www.nliteos.com) to remove them directly from the CD, and make your own custom Windows CD.

Please Help! Problem Installing Winxp Pro
- (4)
I’m hoping someone on here can help me with my problem, because I’m at my wits end. I have tried
everything I can think of, and have not found a solution so far. When I try to install WinXP Pro
from an OEM disk onto my Raptor drive, it starts the install, goes through the formatting of the
drive, install all of the software, I go past the point where it asks me for the network info, and
the time-zone and such. Then it reboots and this is where the problem starts. Among the problems, it
cannot find the OS, or it boots up, gets into windows and reboots, continuously. I u...

Hardware Changes And Now Winxp Doesn't Boot!
- (4)
I've just performed a near-complete upgrade of my main computer. New mobo, processor, more RAM.
I kept both my HDs and would like to continue using the Windows install I was using before. While I
have definitely not passed the hardware test (Windows's way of making sure you haven't
borrowed a friend's HD by checking to see if the hardware is the same as when it was installed)
I've read that SP1 and up will let you boot into safe mode and reactivate. The way it is now,
all I get is the Safe Mode/LastKnown/Start normally screen. If I choose anything, t...
How To Fix A Driver Error If Unable To Enter Win
- (3)
At least I think thats what the problem is. Anyway i'll start at the beginning. I purchased a
Samsung writemaster DVD burner and installed it with the relavent drivers off the samsung website.
Immediately after that blue screen errors started appearing on startup. The error message was this:
BAD_POOL_CALLER 0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000cd4, 0x11111111, 0x818CAC48) However this would only
occur occasionally and as the DVD burner worked fine when XP did load sucessfully I decided I could
live with it... A problem then occured where I couldn't access the admin...

Search Bug Under Winxp Sp1
- i'm in trouble... any ideas on this? (0)
Ok, here's the deal. Every time when I try to make a search if it's set to search on
mycomputer, or only C:\ disk, after few secund of searching it crashes coputer, causing a
massive processor & memory usage, and simply halts and block the whole system. then i must reboot.
I'm suspecting it's a virus maybe, but sophos v.3.87 founds nothing. Any ideas on how to
solve that? Btw. it's my computer from work, it has been about 2 years from last reinstall of
winxp. I'm starting to believe that winxp can degrade itself after few years......
