Ok i googled it and i found too many diff answers what are like the standart banner sizes... or sizes that are for diff layouts or what not like e107 might be 213X31(random number i type there) yeah can any help me?

I use banners that are about 350x90 if i can. But ive also used ones bout 500x275.

Best way is to use different sizes, if your using Dreamweaver for web design, just make a high pixel banner and then make it smaller in Dreamweaver, that way you'll keep the quality of the banner without pixelating it.

Believe it or not, there is a set a standards layed down for advertising on the Internet. They were decided by the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) and should be followed in any web design incorporating adverts.

The sizes in bold are the more traditional, widely used, sizes.

Paint Shop Pro should be good enough for what you want to do—assuming it's something common, not too advanced. No need to worry about if you need Photoshop for this kind of work. But if you feel limited for some reason, then you may consider Photoshop.

You can use any graphics program the goal for ad's is to make the simple yet flashy at the same time, for an example I created an ad for OpaQue that was simplistic and of course flashy, but made sure to have important highlights for people to click on it.



I check the site rval posted and I would have to agree that's what you see nowadays and I have bookmarked it for future reference as well.

Well for making banners, first off which I am not very good at, I use a combination of Adobe Photoshop CS, Paintshop Pro 7, and Paint. Yes I use paint because in some ways it is nice and easy. But again, I am not very good at banners so I tend to have others do it for me... haha.

the alternative for making banners is make it a reasonable size on Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro etc. and then upload it.

then use the following code -

<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/yourimage.jpg" height="XXXpx" width="XXXpx">

height="" and width="" tags determine what height and width your image will appear as on your website.
px = the size in pixels

Hope this proves as a decent alternative.
