| | I tried to upload my avatar from my machine, and it gave me a bunch of myswql errors at the top of the page, and as you can see my avatar isn't showing. I also tried linking, but that didn't work. And yes my avatar is under 80x80 and is under 6kbs.

There is and has been for a long time, a bug in the system. There is a workaround: Go to your profile and use the Avatar image option:
Link to off-site Avatar:
Write the full URL. You can have the graphic file in your home directory or any graphic on the web. This seems to be the only way to do it. I think that Admin has blocked access to the location where the "normal" Avatar graphics are uploaded to the server. Linking directly to a graphic file and not saving it on the phpbb system works, because the image is saved somewhere else (like your own home directory). Note that your web statistics (if you link to your home directory) will be effected, because your "external" Avatar picture is hit, everywhere it is shown in the forums.

Because we don't know what's causing the problem. If you link to an offsite avatar, please make sure you type it like:
CODE http://www.yourdomain.com/folder/image.ext
the http:// is very important

Eh I thought I did exactly that before, with the url and everything typed out. Now it's working anyway.

I got the same problem today when I tried to upload my avatar. Here is the error I got:
Warning: copy(./images/avatars/1173339213419d8102a8769.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/cops/public_html/forums/includes/usercp_avatar.php on line 227
whatever the code is on line 227 of that file (usercp_avatar.php) is causing that problem. I think it is a permissions issue.
Admin: did you set the permissions for images/avatars to 777 ?

Twas on Last Night (20) ok, did any one else watch the Avatar movie on Nick last night? Personally, i dont think it was
worth the wait. I did think it was good though. Ive liked That show ever since the beginning, and
ive been watching it religiously. I liked the first season better than the second because for one,
the image quality was better, and two, they were all 'true to the martial arts' and junk....

Uploading Pictures and Themes Help
(4) TommyK kindly installed php nuke for me , cheers mate . But now i cant find the folders like
directory/images and themes folders etc to upload additional stuff into like a site logo. I look in
file manager and it is empty but i php nuke 7.5 so what do i do ..... please reply asap as i really

(8) Okay I think this is a stupid question, but I am going to ask it anyway because I cannot figure it
out...
Where do I upload my webpages? Do I upload my index.html page directly to the folder I am
brought to when I sign in to my FTP program or file manager? Beacause thata what I did, but then
when i went to http://MYSUBDOMAIN.xerox-hosting.com/ it brought me to a bunch of folders and not
my main page.
Also, there were many folders and files in the FTP program and in the file manager
when I signed in. Can I delete those or are they necessary?....
