Auto Webpage Resolution Format - Viewing Problem Help Needed Please

Hi, my website was created with Frontpage 2003. At screen resolution 1024 * 768. Now the problem that I am finding is people with a screen resol. 800 * 600 see the table and everything in the wrong place and its all messed up.
Is there a way to make it so the site is compatiable with all screen resolutions.
Ok sorry I dont understand what that means. I am no good at the HTML side of things. If you could explain it a little better that would be great. Thank you.
not really i think. if you put your website in a table. you can give the width an hight "100%". instead of pixels. do so with all your content and it will resize himzelf. (it can be that the quality will go down.)
You can just change the size of your table using this code:

However, if you are using images and you've sliced them into separate cells in the table, you may have to start again since the size (width and height) of the images would greatly affect the size of the cells and of course the table.
Just an advise, you should make layouts for 800x600 screen resolution, that way your site is still viewable with an 800x600 or/and higher resolutions.
Awee somebody has already mention the WIDTH="100%" thing. It's not Valid HTML, but it will do.. so it's best to put it in the CSS than the actual HTML.
Also if you are using images in a table grid.. You might be able to do this sort of thing.. <td background="image" width="4234" height="5345"> so that when a person has a smaller resolution is can be made even smaller... but it will cut the layout off.. but it will save the scrolling on the bottom.
I always do this.. when the top of my page.. (all of it) a a gradient..and can not be repeated by using a background.
Hi, If you dont know my names Evolke, or Evo as friends call me, and Im a newbie to Trap17. Ive got
a website application in and accepted, and I have registered my website, but now Im a little lost. I
have little actually web making skills as I have now discovered and Im needing someone that can
point me in the right direction. First up, how do I actually start work making a page, and start
editing it and developing it into a true webpage? I have looked around, and Im starting to go

Yesterday my host request was approved. Today i was making the website and i tried to host a forum.
The website theme is programming, helps, guides, computing, tutorials on different programming
languages. And i realised that a forum is more handy for helps and tutorials, and the users can help
each others in a easier way. My doubt is: Is it really necessary a portal for my case? And can i

I just registered a new domain but since it is my very first time and have not worked with domains
before I'm wondering what I have to do to get the new domain to point at my website here at
trap17.com. If somebody could give me a real basic roundup of how the process with DNS and
nameservers works and what I need to do so that if i type www.myfancynewdomainname.com in the
adressbar of my browser i get my webpage here at trap17.com that would be awesome.....
concerning my recent application for a default credit account, I somehow managed to enter a xxxx.com
for the "requested address" instead of xxx.trap17.com. I think I was just fiddling around with the
text fields and forgot to go back and change that feild before I hit the submit button. By then, it
was too late and my credits reverted to "days" and I can't create a new hosting address.
I'm afraid to do the "terminate account" because then I'd have to start over from scratch.
Ideas? yes it was my fault, just hoping to remedy this before it's too late.....
Hi, I am running a phpBB Forum - the one that I got from my cPanel. There is something that I want
to be able to do and I am unsure how to do it. It is similar to what Trap 17 has when a Moderator
Edits a post and places a message in the post in the Box. I want to be able to have my Moderators
have a box to place a message in and it say up top that they are the ones that Posted it. Thank you

I'm going on vacation today, and I counted up the number of days that I will be gone, which is
19 (I'm fairly sure) and I checked that with the number of credits I now have in store. I
realized that I would have about seven left after my trip and I realized that I wasn't exactly
sure how many credits were required to keep an account set as "active" because I have heard many
different numbers from both other users and moderators ranging from 5 to 10 and I was just wondering

Hi all, Heres the latest in the browser display problems. Updated my homepage via ftp. -(deleted the
old home page in the "www" & "public_html" folders & the ROOT directory "_sgt" & "_sgg"
folders..before ftp'ing the update). Verrified that all new homepage updates had the correct
"last modified" date (ie. the server was showing the newest version I just updated in all file
folders which were previously deleted). Homepage uses HTML with CSS & tables only- no php or
anything fancy. The only changes I made to the homepage were the addition of some metatags (ie. )

Hi all, Here's the problem: I ftp'd a updated webpage file (ie. corrections/changes made) to
the correct subfolder in "public_html" folder. I know it's the correct folder because thats
where it was stored before & the address shown in my webbrowser address line is correct. The new (ie
updated corrected file) does not appear in the webbrowser after a "successful" file upload. The
new/updated file on the server shows the correct file creation date (ie. not the old file's
creation date). I'm using Filezilla set to port 21. Have never had this problem unt....
Hi all, Just a minor problem, The image I chose to use in my forum signature doesn't display
when I go back to view my posts. It just shows as a blank white box w/ red X in it. I'm 95%
certain I used the correct syntax to code it into the signature. Uploaded a image to the root
directory of my hosted website at trap17. Does where the image is hosted make a difference?? Any

Hi all, PROBLEM: The animated gifs on my webpage aren't animated when you view the page with IE
ver6.0 but ther ARE animated when you view the page with Netscape Navigator ver 7.2. Does this have
something to do with the browser settings in IE6 OR is it another issue?? Any suggestions???? All

I am having a problem with viewing my website. Sometimes during the day I can see it, but other
times I can't. I asked a friend that lives up the street from me if he can see it, he said it
wouldn't let him either. We have the exact same internet provider (Charter Broadband) & we are
having the exact same problem. Does anyone know how I can fix this? If you can help me please reply.....
I'm making a user system and I had to delete some because the registration was messed up. Now if
I try to make another user it'll be at 4 or 5 even though there aren't any more users still
in the database. How do I make it so that the next user will be 1?....

OK basicly I made an IBP board and created a new group and joined that group. This subsequently(sp)
moved me out of root admin group BUT it won't let me move back into root admin group. So basicly

I am trying to upgrade my site to postnuke .75 (so I could install a couple of .75 only modules like
better polling etc). I installed a new sql database, made a new user for the database with password
and gave him all the permissions. Now when I try to connect to the database with php/sql it simply
refuses access. I am using the correct username/password combination. I don't get it. What could
I be doing wrong? anyone?....
I've had a hard time trying to find info on this through search engines...just try google or
ixquick and you'll see what I mean. I'd like to know how some addresses do not require the
www prefix, such as xrs.net . I once heard that as long as you have been to the website before,
with typing the w's, it will automatically add them for you, but xrs.net doesn't require
them at all. Any help would be good, thanks.......
