Well, my Dad and i bought it off a New Zealand internet auction site (trademe). Luckily the seller
lived in the same town we do. Anyway im not going to say how much it was, just that it was between
200-400 US Dollars. The main specs are 2.0GHz 768mg RAM (Upgrading in future) 40gb Harddrive
(Upgrading asap) CD Writer and DVD reader 64mb video card (upgrading in future) It has 7 different
media bays for video cameras etc. LAN card, Internal modem card, Audio card, 2 USB ports at front
and 4 (i think) at back. Both run at 2.0x speed. Comes already with XP Pro and Office ...

I'm interested in getting a laptop. But I don't know much about them. Is a laptop as fast
as a normal computer or is it a bit slower? I want to use the laptop for gaming, and for a fast
internet connection. I have cable internet so do I just connect the cable to the laptop for
internet access? And can anyone recommend any good laptops online? thanks again...

Hey guys im thinking of buying a laptop and I would like to know what you guys felt on these two
differnt brands specifially in laptops. It seems that in most amds you have ATIs and in most intels
you have Nvidia is this just coincedence? Also some one the other day was telling me that ATI is so
much better a 128 meg ati is the same as a 256 nvidia true? Any help on this would be great.

Recently I have looking for a laptop to me, but I noticed that most of them were imported--so
utterly expensive, at least here in Brazil. Then I saw in the Internet that was possible to assemble
a laptop of several pieces, as is common with desktop computers--the so-called "barebones". However,
if is really possible, by some strange reason I don't see much of these "no-specific-brand"
laptops being sold (and in the case of desktop computers, there are lots of them). I keep wondering
if there's something that causes problems or malfunctioning in the assembling of...

Hello, my brother is goint to buy a laptop, he needs a IBM, because he use software that only runs
in Windows 98, and the only brand that give support for older OS is IBM. Also he needs a laptop
with serial port, So he has 2 alternatives, the IBM T40/41/42 (Centrino Based) but these ones
doesn't have serial port, And the IBM T30 (P-4-M 2.0ghz), any knows if this one is a good laptop
for work? (Including battery life) Thank's in advance.......

which one out of these companies makes the best laptops. i personaly like ibm, because they are
better than all of them, and they have the best laptop, the thinkpad. i think sony will come next.

Hello =) I'm a soon to be student who is on a short-ish budget, but I've been planning to
get myself a laptop before I'm off to university in September. I do quite a lot of work with
Photoshop working with graphics for websites and layouts and the like so I was thinking of getting a

Anybody using an ATI X800 and mod it to X800 XT? I've seen a lot of forums telling people how
to rejoin the 2 points and flash the BIOS will activate the 4 pipes. How many have tried it? Also,
