Slightly Concerned About Web Hosting Applications
- email addresses shouldnt be shown (7)
Ive been thinking about this for a while, every since i did a search for my email address in google
(you should really try it, youd be surprised where your address turns up sometimes) I was lucky and
the only reference to it was here at T17 in my hosting app. But this concerned me... Many of the
folk here at trap are very intelligent and cautious people and dont like their email address being
splattered across the internet but that is what is happening because of the application threads. I
would like to ask if they can be made mod/admin only or if Jlhsalips email hidi...

Hello, everyone. The help is needed again. How can I make calculator in PHP language? That will act
like that a user just type in the fields known values, then click the button, and it's going to
be solved automatically. In other words, have can I write a formula in PHP, how to plug it inside
that language. For example, the formula to find a peremeter of square is: P=4a. So, a user
just can write the known value which is peremeter itself and it will find the side of a square; and
vice versa. If you can write many things how to do such formulas, such as comp...

Perl As A Way To Program Desktop Applications
- (8)
I know that Perl is very common for CGI scripts and is used in many web applications. I also know
that Perl can be run from the command-line for basic applications. Anybody ever make desktop
applications in Perl or do most people strictly use Perl for CGI and use C(++) or Visual Basic for
desktop applications. I am curious because I would like to attempt to create a game in Perl and
distribute it. Of course it could only work for people who have Perl installed. Just wondering....
Web Applications: J2ee Or Javascript/css/html
- (1)
I'm currently programming web applications using AJAX/CSS/HTML and they're pretty
cross-browser. However when I heard of this language J2EE I had second thoughts. But I ran into GWT
(Google Web Toolkit) which compiles Java code to Javascript/HTML. With this said, my mind tells me
that Java developers desire to use Javascript/HTML languages to create web applications over Java.
So, which one should I start developing web applications in? Java? or Javascript...

Google Reveals Isp / Web Portal Based Applications

Well it seems google is going into the ISP business now, today they announce "Google Apps Partner
Edition" for ISP and Web portals. Which basically are applications like email service and all that
other great stuff in which ISP's and portals don't have to concentrate so much on their own
servers with the same services. Of course they don't mention how much this package will cost
ISP and web portal owners but most likely, the package that you can purchase for $50 will either be
abotu the same or more, but that is my guess though. Yahoo mentions it in a coup...

Use A Profiler To Make Your Java Apps Jvm-friendly

Use a Profiler to Make Your Java Apps JVM-Friendly (find java profile programs attached).
QUOTE While veteran C and C++ developers know how hard it is to debug software memory problems,
younger Java developers don't need to learn about them because Java handles memory automatically
using the garbage collector (GC). When a Java developer creates a new Java object, the Java Virtual
Machine (JVM) allocates memory for it and then reclaims the memory when the object reference is
lost. Thanks to this simple, straightforward concept, many small to midsized Java appl...
