All my life I have used xp.

Thats why when I opened my first office I made sure to get apples.

Apples are not the majority operating system so they are less likley to get a virus

i love the bar thing that apple computers have. the thing where the icons magnify when u highlite them.

Linux is good because everything is user customizable and its free!

FACT1:
Did you know, Macintosh was the first OS that has it's GUI not interpreting the interface with the commands line by line?

FACT2:
Linux is the only OS with it's GUI still using line by line.

OS X is really great! I use it to do my graphics work, which I would never trust to any Windows-running machine.

You can only consider MacOS if you have a Mac. It does not run on PCs. When it comes to PCs, I stick to Linux or BSD systems. There are many flavours to chose from:

www.slackware.com
www.linux-mandrake.com
www.suse.com
www.debian.com

etc.

www.openbsd.org
www.freebsd.org
www.netbsd.org

If you don't use some particular app like AutoCAD on daily bases, it is really better. It is safer, more stable, and quite fast even on old computers.

It is very serios OS, who is first remember of mouse, desktop ETC. It´s not like winblows, Mac is veri serious!

I myself would never even considering buying a mac, because most games and software aren't made for them. It's like buying Ferrari Enzo, and every street in your town is 25 MPH. PCs are great because you can have Windows (compatible with basically everything) and Linux.

Yes, definitely agree with that. No Windows version can ever compare to a Mac OS.
Why do you think professional designers prefer it?

This is silly. The new Mac OS is excellent, unix-based system. It is light years ahead of Windows. But you have to have a Mac to run it.

my friend was a windows user, switched to apple, then switched to windows again after 4 - 6 months

I think Linux is better then mac. And i use both windows and linux!
