| | I was wondering if there happened to be any freeware programs out there on the web that might be comparable to Photoshop or PSP? I need something that's better than the Microsoft Picture It! that I have now, and I figured this would be the right place to ask. Basically, what I need the program for is layouts, avs, sigs, and banners. My programs aren't cutting it, and I can't afford either PSP or Photoshop. |

Maybe you can try GIMP. The adrress is http://gimp.orgThe GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages. As I know it can be installed in Windows, UNix, Linux and Mac. It is free and offers good optios to be creative. Try it.

Indeed instead of downloading warez (viruses, spyware anyone? ) you also could take a look at the opensource community. HEre you can find stuff like Gimp which is a good replacement for psp or photoshop. Since I am a linux user I cannot use psp or photoshop (without emu) so I am using Gimp for a few years already. It has most features and filters psp and photoshop have and you can write your own scripts for it both in Gimps own language as in python if you like. Its not only for image manipulation or drawing you als can make animated gifs with it just as easy as count from 1 to 3. Yes there is this program called.... I HAVE FORGOTTON SORRY!!!That is absolutely free!!! It is really cool! I have never used it but I downloaded it once and it had loads of tools to it sort of similar to Photoshop. Here is a link to a list of free things you can use for your website etc... Adding Jigsaw Puzzle Effect With Photoshop

method built into Photoshop. Like a lot of other abilities, the hard part is finding it. Let me walk
