I've never heard of someone losing weight from a sickness and not being able to gain it back. What were you sick of? You should tell your doctor because there could be an underlying cause for the inability to gain wait.
I had a really bad flu once and I lost 10 pounds which I never gained back. I've heard this around too so don't worry too much about it.
