My web design class is requiring me to create a somewhat good looking web page about anything of my choice. I was thinking of doing the webpage about DDR or maybe about The Legend of Zelda. I'm not sure though. I really like playing DDR in fact I play it at least once a week. Zelda I play pretty often though. Which would be a more broad topic or easier to make a website about or how should I set my site up?

Read this Forum Topic found at the trap17's sister forum 'Astahost' about the sort of things which make for good web site designs. A highly reccomended list of guidelines.

Well, by the looks of it, you have 3 choices. A website about DDR, a website about the Legend of Zelda, or a website of both. I believe the DDR one would be easier to make, and the Legend of Zelda one would be more broad. To decide which one to make, I'd choose which one I'm better at.

I read this report somewhere today that said, people judge a websites in a fraction of a second (to be precise .2 seconds) So if they don;t like the way the page loads or what they see at first, the go away straight - without actually looking.

DDR? Dance Dance Revolution? You can probably try those bright flashing lights and those distracting backgrounds you get when you play the game.

In my opinion, making a DDR-based website will be a difficult thing to do. Why? Because DDR-based web needs a website function which almost mimicing the DDR-style whilst making them will use up much of our resources, and those people like me who cannot have steady internet connection will not like it.

On the other hand, making a full-effect like in DDR will be the great way to show the enhanced graphics. Well, it's really up to you now, will you choose the great visualisation or good traffic-website.

What I'm thinking of doing now is doing both. In web design my teacher is requiring us to do an advanced site using CSS and HTML and I think some other programming languages. So I'll work on a website about Zelda at school in web design and work on the DDR one at home. And combine both of them into one website but now I need to think of a way to make the home page and the name of my sub domain. Thanks for all your guy's help.
