There is now a espectacular program to download and upload files,
the name is Pando.

This program must be installed on your computer and it's very easy to use
and the download speed is the max, beleave me, yesterday i tryed this software
and it really works, i downloaded a file with 350 to 400 Kb per second wich is
almost the maximum speed i can reach because i have a 4 MB ADSL Speed connection.

So i thought to myself, what if this is just luck, so i tryed to download another file,
and a very big one, a game to be exact wich has 3 CD's, i tell you all, i downloaded
all the 3 cd's in no time, between 1 and 2 hours i downloaded all the files and the speed
was allways the same (350 to 400 Kb/s).

I highly recommend you all to try at least, you can download and upload files to anyone's email,
including your's, and even the upload speed is the maximum, i'm very surprised with this one,
it beats the rapidshare.de and sendspace.com by the numbers.

There's no download or upload limit, it means that you can download files all day long at the same
great download speed.

It creates a context menu on your windows files and directorys, wich means that when you right click a file
you can see an entry saying if you want to "send with pando" (upload) that file or that directory, isn't it just excellent or what?

I don't want to say nothing more, try it, i already have and i'm very surprised!

If you interest the russian server for keeping of the files - I know one of them - dump.ru There in the same way there is not bad free hosting, but without DB and FTP. Find any russian-english translator and onward! Unless find translator, that I you always help - ICQ 308-863-856

Hey.. Pando is so cool and looks promising. It holds abit of Bittorrent way of transfering files. However, does it means that the sender and the receiver are needed to be connected live to send the files over? Or does the sender send the files to a server and can be offline for the receiver to download.

Also, I've been refering to this thread for good file hosting servers. I don't like those with limitations like, files getting deleted after some days of inactivity, IP addresses getting banned for bandwidth reached, and extremely slow transfer speed. The minimum transfer speed that I'm looking is at least 50kbps. Lower than that is too slow, kind of insulting my broadband's speed capability. Anyway, do you know of some hosting servers that doesn't have these limitations? YouSendIt is currently my favorite but it has a limitation of days of hosting the files before they get deleted.

Inspiron, Pando is the best now, so let me describe the steps to work with this great program (It's like emule, bitorrent, http file upload/share, but with great download and upload speeds, no limits for downloads or uploads):


Steps:

Download the program in http://pando.com

Install the program

After installation, open the program, and click in options to configure things.

For downloads/uploads, you must register in their site (it's completely free) to get the username and password

Insert the username and password in the program, just click to upload a file and they will ask your account details wich you should enter them to be able to upload files to their servers (you need internet, adsl is recommended but not needed, you can use a dial-up 56KB modem).

The program's interface is quite attractive and cool, it shows the download and upload speed as well as the download stats, it's like a simple download manager integrated, very nice idea in fact.

Now, to upload a file, you must click upload, enter once your account details (just one time), insert the email wich you want to send the file too, message, and so on, then you choose the file (i recommend zip or rar, but the others work fine, don't worry) to upload, and click upload.

After the upload is done (you will knowby then), yours and your friend's email will receive a file with the extension *.pando , wich must be double clicked to download the file from their servers.

Your friend or anyother that has that file *.pando that you just uploaded to their servers (you can send the *.pando file to whoever you want to share the file you just uploaded, but they need the Pando program to be able to download) can download the file you have uploaded, at the same time if that occurs, and with top speed, but they all must have the Pando program installed because as i said, this is like p2p programs, but a lot less simple, with top speeds, with no limitations, just great!

Hope you understand this, so now you all have to install and see for your eyes, it's very simple, i have learned how to use this program by my self, and so it'll happen with you all.

I understand that it's really good in transfer speed. But can a normal browser download the file? It's kindda limitation for the receiver because the receiver is required the software to download the file.

Thanks for that huge list of servers. I started using yousendit months ago, but the files are deleted very soon. Now I use rapidshare.de because it gets good speeds. Megaupload is also stable but the speeds are really low sometimes.

I havenīt tried Pando yet. Before I install it, I wanna make sure that it will be an standar in p2p and not something thatīs here today and gone tomorrow.

I have been using rapidshare for quite a long time. I found it server quite fast and their bandwidth is also good overseas. As I am an overseas user, I am quite amazed that it has such a reserve of bandwidth for overseas connection. Their website is quite ad crowded, but afterall it is a free service, so I am still with them.
