QUOTE Introducing AIMfire, an instant messaging program for the fantastic Mozilla Firefox. AIMfire is like your usual instant messaging programs but it is small in size, easy to use and in particular features something that other instant messaging clients don't have: the power of Audioscrobbler built-in. So try it out and give it a spin!
If you're running a portable version of Firefox on a thumbdrive this is a great extension to have. You'll never need to worry about your host computer having an AIM chat client. Better then the web version of AIM but missing features that full chat clients like Trillian or the official AIM client have.
Cross platform compatible. |

Bittorrent Client
- What is your favorite BT client? (90)
I use BitTornado because it's very reliable for me, although at times, the GUI seems to freeze,
and I get very mad when that happens because I leave the computer on for a long time, so when I get
back, I expect a finished download. I've also tried BitComet. I don't know if this is me,
but the torrent seems to take SO much longer to finish downloading than it does on BitTornado. If
you've experienced this, post below. Shareaza is another client that I've tried, but it

Your Firefox Cache
- Do you know where it is ? (2)
You can access your FireFox cache files by typing this "about:cache?device=disk" into your FF URL
bar There is the cache directory will tell you the directory in which cache is stored, this is not
IE and you'll not be able to browse by going to that directory, because its in encrypted form.
If you want to browse your cache, you're in the page! The about:cache?device=disk is the
disk cache page! browse around in here. This is completely different to what is temporary
internet files in IE. Use the quick find function by pressing / (forward slash) an...

Best Messaging Client

What do you think is the best messaging client? Right now, I must say Trillian, because it allows
multiple acount log ins at the same time. But it's only for windows, and I'm not sure if
there's a linux version...and I am about to switch to linux. So once I switch to linux, i'd
probably go for Gaim. Although it does not allow multiple accounts, it does allow IRC chatting. and
furthermore, it is open source ! there's a lot of room for improvement...but im not sure how
much active its community is. And although both Gaim and Trillian can be invi...

Filesharing

Hey all, I'm looking for a small but simple tool, to exchange files with friends and family. I
know that all IM programs have built in file-sharing capability but that is not quite enough for me.
All I need is a little tool which would allow resumes and possibly secure (encrypted) transfers.
What I'm looking for is kind of like FTP but server and client in one program and very simple to
set up. For those of you who know what WASTE is, it comes pretty close but it would be good if it
also would allow unsecured transfer just for ease of use. I'd love to us...

messenger for just the computers in your network. Nifty huh. Well you can CLICK HERE to find out

Firefox Extension Problem...
- Gotta get rid of this text selection thing! >_< (5)
I've been using Firefox lately, and i placed an extension in it, to try it out, but after
uninstalling it, the feature is still here... I dont mind the feature all that much, but it does
become inconvenient for me when there's lots of scrolling, and i want to use the "home" and
"end" keys. Also, i cant do quick edits to my posts cause of it. I love the quick edit feature. I
was wondering if anyone ever installed an extension similar and could tell me the name of it? Cause,
i forgot the name of it.....
