photoshop has the greatest design tools, while fireworks it's getting kinda tacky :S
premiere is the greatest tool for editing video i've ever found!
audition it's also a great tool for editing audio
illustrator is better than freehand ¬¬

dreamweaver beats adobe's go live easy!!

Since adobe bought Marcomedia this is kinda a vote for Cola Vanilla or Cola Regular lol, they are both the same company... But anyway, I make my templates in photoshop, edit them in Dreamweaver. I think Adobe is the best company if it's about graphics, while Macromedia is the best in programming (Flash, HTML etc)

I really don't know how you would compare the two companies. The only product that competes with each other in their graphics programs, which are in a dead heat, in my opinion.

well i kinda use both and have for years, nothing new has come along. It's only when you start working at companies that you realise that they use other tool and apps just because of cost. I've been reduced to working with front page, homesite, claris ect. And they all have their own special coding extras. Pretty much a pain but you learn really quickly how to adapt to other programs to get the job done.round.

i never used fireworks, but i did use dreamweaver and i use photoshp sometimes. I think florisjuh is right...photoshop is for grapics and macromedia for programming? Other quesiton: Now adobe bought macromedia, is there going to be a new fireworks....and will the next dreamweaver will be called Adobe Dreamweaver??

The two brands are known for different areas. One is good in one field, the other in another field. You can't really compare them. And I didn't know that Adobe bought Macromedia. Does anyone have any news about this? When did this happen?

lol, yes Adobe owns Macromedia's *arse*. but their both good for differernt thigns  Adobe- The Wonderful Photoshop and Illustrator, Acrobat, etc Macromedia- The God like Director, flash, dreamweaver, etc their both great, and don't clash on software packages too much . . . .

Ive just always used adobe and they have never done me wrong. That is why i still use adobe. However, in the future since they now own macromedia, it is possible that i try on of those products like fireworks. Who knows what lines they keep and what lines they get rid of.

I've always used Adobe, since the very begining of my life on the internet. But lately I've been trying to learn Flash, and it's going pretty well. But I love Photoshop so much more. So Adobe...

Personally, I believe that both Adobe and Macromedia are good companies and have produced products that people use in their daily lives. Adobe provides state-of-the-art "Adobe Photoshop CS2" and "Adobe Professional 7" allowing people to make PDFs and PDF Forms for email and such. There "Illustrator" is better than Macromedia's FreeHand MXa, yes, but Fireworks throbs Illustrator. Adution may be an audio tool, however Captivate allows people to create audio and video performances. Now with Macromedia. Macromedia has Flash Professional 8, the highest-quality flash maker in the history of forever. Dreamweaver provides great HTML and other coding software, such as Microsoft Office's FrontPage. However, Dreamweaver can have imports easily from both Macromedia Flash Professional 8, and Macromedia Fireworks 8. Macromedia FreeHand MXa is not their greatest program, and I personally would use Paint (just kidding, just kidding...XD) Perosnally, Macromedia has shone brighter in my eyes than Adobe, but now that Macromedia and Adobe have joined together to form one great big Adobe, I guess I really don't have a choice, there... I prefer both but more adobe (photoshop)... I like making sigs and Im making website templates with adobe but Im puting it all in html or PHP with dreamweaver... So I trully cant decide which is better... 50 : 50 for me

Cannot Install Adobe Photoshop Cs3
(10) Hi, I have been trying to install adobe photoshop cs3 for a little over a week now. The problem is
when I'm installing at the end it says it has successfully installed shared components, but has
failed to install photoshop cs3 and shared components. This is really annoying because nothing that

How Do I Stream Videos On My Site With Macromedia Flash 8?

Where should it be located for online site access? (7) I recently tried to read a pdf file from an internet site and received a message that
"Acrobat Reader" program could not be found. My copy is located here: "C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Acrobat\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" Where in the devil else would it be
looking for the exe file? Or maybe my privacy settings won't allow access to my puter for the

Help installing it... (6) Four days ago I formatted my computer and have been installing all of my applications. I went to the
Macromedia site and installed flash player, and the movie is shown saying that it has installed
succesfully. However, if I go to a website that hosts flash player 8 content, It usually does not
display correctly and it tells me to go download the new player. No matter how many times I
re-install the player through the Macromedia website it does not "take". Any Ideas? Is there

Help With Adobe Encore Dvd Menu Program
Want to extract menu from existing DVD (0) I tried search here but i literally couldn't find a thing about Adobe encore. I had used this
programs to make a menu system for a personal DVD. Some of the information on the DVD I want to
change but I lost the original files that I used. So I was hoping that someone might know how to
extract the menus back out of the DVD so that I could change some of the text, etc. even if it
isn't using Encore that's fine with me, I just don't know where to look for something

easily see why they are there for or how to use them, the first panel i saw was the "frames".. used
