I really like "punBB" since it's so simple and easy to install. However, I remember that the year 2004 was the last year that IP distributed a free version. I remember downloading a 2.0.0 version of IPB and it was a free legit download, with no license key required. There used to be an addon script that lets you install 1.3. I'm sure 1.3 IPB is still free.

First thing that comes to mind is to just get the free hosting here and install the newest version or whatever version of the forums you want since you do get a SQL server. It works out in the end that way

Is this a scamming attempt? "Give me admin power and I'll remove ads for free". I suppose so. There is no LEGAL way you can remove ads for free. I suppose you're going to add a code in the header that'll mask the ads, then again, if that's what you're ganna do, why not just give him the code?

NO! There is no ad free IF1.2-1.3, you must PAY for the ads to be removed. Go into your ACP And it's one of the first links, Ad removal. Pay for ad removal, easy as that, and it's legal.

itsmyard, please refrain from asking for admin power on other peoples board, also, removing ads on a free service is again the TOS...
