i dont know how to back up wordpress but why dont you try to install wordpress on the new server and using the transfer feature in worpress to transfer all the old stuff to the new wordpress on the new server.

I am not able to access Fantastico at the moment as I am at work but here is a guideline you could use. I suppose you want to save your posts and comments, you got 2 options for that. 1) Backup from WordPress Go to Manage and then Export the XML file which contains your information. When you are done installing WordPress on a new server, you can then import this XML files and you won't lose any of your information on your previous server. 2) Backup from Fantastico This is definitely a powerful option, you can go to phpmyadmin and export your database, and then import the database into your new server. Of course with this method, you would not only recover your posts, comments but also your plugin settings and any extra tables created by them. Personally I like to backup from WordPress itself, I wouldn't mind tweaking the settings of the plugins again (not many anyway). But its your call and I hope I have helped you.

Cannot Open My Site
(12) Hi everyone. Sometimes, I cannot connect with my site, neither ftp, ping, etc. This happens
everyday, and sometimes, as a miracle, doesn't happen. This also happens with a friend of mine
with the same ISP. I contacted my ISP, and they told me that there must be a prob with the server,

Wallpaper Site
(4) Hello I hope this is the right place for this thread . I want to thank to Trap17 for their
wonderful hosting service and because I have no problems related to hosting . I have a wallpaper
site based on 4images gallery system . But my images have high resoultions (1600*1200 ) and when
someone enters a wallpaper page , 4images displays the full size image and that too big for a page
. Is there any way to display a small image in the wallpaper page and a big image when someone
clicks download ? Or could you recommend me a better software ? Thanks in advance .....

Can't Login To Any Software On My Site
anyone know how to fix? (3) In a subdomain of my site I have an installation of MediaWiki, and until now it's been working
fine. But today I've been having trouble with it. Previously, whenever I logged into MediaWiki
it worked first time and I would stay logged in for about an hour, even without the "Remember Me"
option checked. But I tried logging in now, and after logging me in, the next page I went to showed
me as "not logged in". I cleared the cache as I know this has been a problem before, and then tried
logging in again, but it still said I was not logged in! So I tried one more time....
Wordpress Categories Disappear

assign them to different categories but a few days later, the categories disappear and all my posts
are automatically placed in the Uncategorized category instead. I believe this is not a unique

No Site Access
(4) It was working the day before yesterday and then it started giving me error messages about not being
able to access the site. I can't access cpanel either. Neither page ever loads. I don't

Backup Not Working [resolved]
(5) I am trying to backup my files on my account(in preparation for the next server disaster), and I am
unable to download it. In my CPanel I goto the back-up screen to generate a full backup. Once
that's done and its ready to be downloaded, It only downloads to 13% or 50mb before stopping.
With and without a download manager. It doesn't help that resume is not supported in download
managers. I have too many files on my account to backup with an FTP client, that would take hours
and hours. What can I do to get a backup of my account?....
Can't Access My Site....weird Issue
(5) Okay, so last night everything worked fine. I loaded up cpanel, fixed issues with the site after the
database move, etc. Today I'm unable to load up the site. It just keeps giving me ping
timeouts. With what I'm being told by others it is only me having this issue with my site, and
yet there have been 0 changes to my pc between it working and not. I have tried multiple times
during the day with no luck. Along with this, if I load my website using a proxy service then I do
not have any issues. The only time it will not allow me to access it is if I am "using" my....

Transferring Files From One Host To Another
Take my site to trap17 (9) As I said, I had to move my web site away from Trap17 temporarily because I had ran out of disk
space. Now, when my upgrade is finalised, I would like to ask for a little assistance. The provider
I will be moving my site from, back to Trap17 also uses Cpanel, and the admin let me know to do a
backup and that backup could be simply transferred via FTP to my new provider. The backup includes
all my files and MySQL data, in other words, the whole web site. It is in a .tar.gz format. How do I

Anything to change in the wp-config.php file? (4) I've chosen to install WordPress manually and things were going well so far...until I hit an
installation error when I tried to run the install.php file on my browser. For the record, I
logged into CPanel and went into MySQL Databases, created the databases, the username and added the
