I got a similar message, however it wasn't sent to my email, it was sent to my trap17 PM inbox. It looks like someone is trying to exploit trap17 for spammy purposes...

There be dragons! its funny, is this scam still works today, i still remember how old times people getting such a spam and then the person need to pay for an amount to get the prize or money they promises, but in fact they are cheating people, one of my friend is cheated for this you got prize email. And if the marcy one, anyway what can they gain from? Maybe email address?

Strange email but i dont think this is a spam but a way to send trojan. He/She asked you to reply the email and he/she sends a pic to you. You click on the pic and boom, Trojans flooding into your computer. jpg, gif is famous to be a "mask" to many Trojans. Think again, how would that be a spam or scam if he/she didnt ask you for personal information and etc?

It seems that the spammer is targeting the hosted members emails from the hosting applications. I have separate mail account for trap17 and till date all the spam messages were from fake persons claiming to be a lawyer and would want to share the money of his dead client and so on... It is evident that only these type of spammers are targeting emails from trap. Just thinking why don't the admins do something to clear of all those emails in the Hosting applications forum.

Wow SM. You sure know how to fish for the ladies.  It's kind of strange how you got that in your inbox. Gmail is pretty darn good at filtering out spam... assuming you are using Gmail too, of course. I've been mostly spam-free since I've joined. Makes me want to advertise Gmail to everyone out there, but to each his/her own, right? Not to mention that for most computer-literate users, e-mails like that should automatically warrant a prompt response of clicking that Spam/Delete button... Apparently it still works because people are STILL doing it.

A Lot Of Spam Suddenly!
(7) There seems to be lots of spam on trap17 forums these few days! Link-filled posts made by
'members' with only one post count! I've clicked the 'report' button quite a few

How To Transfer Files Directly From My Computer To The Trap17 Account
(8) Hi! I've been hosted in trap17 for almost 4 months now. In the beginning, I tried to setup a
WebDisk to directly transfer files from my computer to my hosting account, but I didn't manage
to make it work. It might have been from my Vista's weird firewall settings, or my ISP settings,
I have no idea. Anyway, I used the File Manager since, as I don't have a lot of files on my
site. Needless to say, it is really annoying when I do just some little changes and I have to go

Google Blocks Trap17?
(8) Hello. Me and innosia have tried adding our links to Google's URL crawl page, but Google wont
verify. He says it works for the paid Trap17 hosting, but not the free. I've tried Yahoo and
Google and they both will not verify. I've tried adding the meta tag, and file to the cPanel

(4) OMG ok, so i logged into my gmail account and shabam, 400 new messages, 100 to my inbox 300marked as

comment form. After filling in the form the user gets a confirmation email and I get an email to
tell me someone filled in the form, and showing me the data that were filled in. First of all, I

user still gets his/her confirmation and thank you email, but, instead of my email address, the

Can't send or receive email. (1) Hi, I'm having a serious problem. I had a mail account set up through my Cpanel. My site is

the HTML editor on computinghost is long gone. The cPanel is the newer version but as always newer
isn't always better. So what if they have a new cpanel (ensim did the same thing)…the fact is
they left old software on for years when much newer and more secure versions are ready. Hell, php6
is about to come out. So in two years plesk, cpanel and ensim will finally go to php6 when php 8 is

Transferring Files From One Host To Another
Take my site to trap17 (9) As I said, I had to move my web site away from Trap17 temporarily because I had ran out of disk
space. Now, when my upgrade is finalised, I would like to ask for a little assistance. The provider
I will be moving my site from, back to Trap17 also uses Cpanel, and the admin let me know to do a
backup and that backup could be simply transferred via FTP to my new provider. The backup includes
all my files and MySQL data, in other words, the whole web site. It is in a .tar.gz format. How do I

How do I make it and read my mail? (8) Hey guys, I love how I have sendmail and my own email account here, but I don't know how to
access them. When I created my account, I put in my home email address because that's supposed
to be there. But instead of having my users email me at my home email account in my contact form, I
