Hi everyone! This is just going to be one big rant cos i am so angry and i have to get it out or ill explode! One of my best friends (who i also happen to have feelings for) has a boyfriend, now thats a bummer on its own to me but it gets worse! Her boyfriend is an abusive (damn wish i could swear), pathetic excuse for a "man". Me and all my mates are only 17 and so is he but hes so abusive to her! Theyve been together for just over a year and as much as it upset me at first i got along well with him becuase hes into computers etc and so am i so we had plenty to alk about. But then he starts making her very upset, but only once or twice so i just ignored it as a tiff and carried on with life but he just kept doing it!! he hasnt stopped, atleast twice a month id say they have some sort of argument and id say once a month she cries (and not becuase its that time of the month either!) because he upsets her. So far hes split up with her 3 times and possibly once more just a few days ago, but every time they take each other back. He is constantly giving her orders too. Its no secret that i have feelings for her, have done for a long time and i understand that he doesnt like that, i dont care whether he likes it or not, but i understand! Anyway we had a sleepover at one of my friends houses just a couple of days ago, obviously he wasnt invited because my mates dont like him either! Loser. Anyway his girlfriend was there and of course we all slept in one room, there was only three of us, me, the girl this whole topic is about (emma) and our mate (nicola). At ths sleepover emma told me that a few days ago steve (the boyfriend) had phoned her and TOLD her never to put her pj's on while she was there and also that she wasnt allowed to sleep in the same room as me. Well she didnt put her PJ's on (no suprises there, she always backs down, idiot!) and we did all sleep in the same room, but when nicola wanted to sleep on the opposite side of the bed to me (i was on the floor) emma was like "nah nah im confy here" blah blah, more and more BS because she didnt want to lay near me incase steve found out because she knows hell have a go at her. And he kept phoning her up which annoyed the living heck out of me and nicola because we both hate him and want him dead, but thats another story. And he kept puttin her in a bad mood becausehe was constantly having a go at her. before this shes had to lie to him about talking to me. I sent him an email the day after the sleepover, a rather sarcy and very cocky one  which in the end possibly caused their forth break up (i say possibly because she denies they broke up yet they werent talking and she removed all signs of her "i love steve" BS from her msn name. But suprise suprise theyre back together! Im just so annoyed because i wanted to talk to her because i was bored so i texted her for free off the net, no reply. I texted again. i got "not gonna be online x" as a reply...WTF?! i texted again asking if shes ok and suprise suprise no effin reply! Ive just texted her again trying to get a reply, lets see what happens! while i wait let me vent some more, it is afterall what this place is for! I just cant take it! I mean all i want to do now is go and beat 7 shades of poop out of him! and im not even a violent person! But im just so annoyed is doing my brain in! Im typing this and im shaking!! Its crazy! But im not permitted to say anything to him because he takes everything out on her. I am actually afraid that he will hit her one day and i know if he does i wont be able to just sit here and vent about it. ill go mental on him! And it wouldnt suprise me if he raped her, or at the least forced her into having sex. It would devestate me but not suprise me. And nicola thinks so too, and her brother is in a class at college with this steve and he also thinks hes going to hit emma one day. Its just crazy! yet she thinks hes lord almighty emperor of the friggin universe! I know she loves him but as far as im concerned i love her but i wouldnt let her treat me like that! And she and problably steve think that im just jealous. Yes i admit i would love to be emmas boyfriend but im not jealous of him. Im more likely to be jealous of a worm. Or maybe its the same thing! I just cant watch her getting hurt like this, its killing me and it annoys me so much when she doesnt reply to texts, and when i phone her sometimes i get a bored sounding low voiced almost unresponsive mong on the end of the phone, called emma, yet when hes not there i get a perfectly gre4at and funny chat with her and shes one of my best friends but when hes there shes not even allowed to talk to me. Which is shy she still hasnt replied and im getting so annoyed. what can i do? im going mad! i cant say anything to him because everytime i do he takes it out on her and then she gets the ump with me and she normally ends up very upset and i hate upsetting her. I cant just beat the living hell out of him because shed never talk to me again and hes not worth that. I cant talk to her reasonably because all i get is "shut up i dont wanna hear it, hes not that bad, its my fault anyway, im jus stupid and moany blah blah blah " plain BS its because he needs medical help to sort his pea sized brain out! I just need to do something! and i need to calm down too! If anyone has any advice please let me know! im going spare! And theres more to this story but i havent got time to tell it nor the space on the webserver for the size of my post!

Man dude, kinda a messy situation. My idea would be to tell her your true feelings. If she says no or watever move on and still be friends. Theres more fish in the sea like they always say. Even if her boyfriend seems abusive maybe there is a real reason of why they are still together. Just my thoughts, hope it helps.

Yeh, i have kind of moved on but i still have feelinhs for her, it just really annoys me that im loosing her as a friend because of him but she cant see it. It just does my head in! Whay cant she see it?! I would never let anyone treat me like that hes an abusive person and she doesnt deserve it!

Love is blind and women think that can "fix" us men. Can't fix us, can only train us to not wet on the floor. She should dump him. If she were my daughter and I knew what he was doing to her, I'd be in jail as I beat the living sh*t out of him. Anyway, if she is not willing to listen, you cannot force her too. Just be there when her world falls apart. Good luck.

Bro, sorry, but nice guys finish last. Believe me, I just went through the same thing. Obviously can't see the better guy and is attracted to the stupid things. Theres not much you can do about it though, either suck it up and stop being so nice.. Or keep being nice and maybe you'll meet someone who understands that someone's kindness should not be taken as their weakness.

Microsoft Rant. My Experience As A Customer
(2) This isn't going to be one of those 'mac rules windows sucks' posts. This is why I
dislike microsoft. It began with my desktop computer. The motherboard needed replacing, so we got
it replaced then windows didn't work. the copy that came with the computer didn't work
because the hardware had changed. The company that repaired the computer (I'm afraid of going in

Another Cust. Service Rant... This Time As A Customer
(6) On monday I experienced something that I haven't in a long time. Good customer service. I work
in the line of customer service, and I have come to the conclusion, there are different levels you
can provide. True customer service is hardly ever given anymore. For example, I ordered from
McDonalds recently and I ordered a McFlurry and a Sundae. I was given a McFlurry and a Shake. It was
at the start of a minor busy period (3 or 4 people were behind me waiting to order), so I waited
until the others were served, and I said to the lady that served me in a polite tone, "I....
Customer Service... Vent About Customers
(4) I work in customer service, taking orders over the phone and such. I Really don't understand
why people are rude to us, I can't help but think of the old adage, "Don't bite the hand
that feeds you" to me being rude to the guy whos writing down what you order doesn't make sense.
For example (I work with pizzas) oops, it was hot sprinkles, not half sauce? oops. I bet that
burned. I can understand people complaining for a genuine reason, something wrong with the pizza
or it was late or such, but people ringing up and complaining, then talking your ear of....

Ever Been Used As A Vent For Others Frustrations?
(3) We use this vent so gracefully without even thinking how it feels,but happily,this thingy cant feel
so its kinda alright.Ever been in a situation where the person in front of you is clearly using you

Outdoor Drinking Games May Face A Ban
A local issue in my town, but my vent conserning it (2) Just recently in my town an issue has come up that has my whole campus in a fluster. I was reading
my colleges news paper and right on the front page, first article, in big bold letters, "OUTDOOR
DRINKING GAMES MAY FACE A BAN" Ok, being a local to my town for the past 9 years and I am now also

ban has been brought up because there is over 75 Beer Pong Tables outside on peoples porches (it is

My Rant On Video Formats And Compatibility
(11) Ok, well recently i bought a DVD Burner, and it works fine all to say, but i never knew that the DVD
Roms had to be a certian format (DVD+R or DVD-R)so i had to buy the correct format of the roms, then
i didn't know that the video that i wanted to burn to the DVD had to be a special format (.avi,
.mpeg, etc...) so now i have to go through this whole conversion process, then i have to make sure
that the format of the video is compatible with the DVD player that i want to play it on.. im like
argh! what a nightmare! SO my ideal it, to scrap all video formats and come ....
Immature And Annoying Students
Just a rant because it BUGS me! (7) Alright, here's some background info: I'm not a particularly evil person. I don't
spread lies or rumors, I don't talk back to anyone but teachers and parents, I don't pick
fights with other students, and most of all- I don't barely talk to them to do anything to them.
Now, for the reason I am here. I am one of those passive-aggressive kids in the high school who
will do anything to get a good grade and be on the teachers good graces list. The other day in my
personal finances class that they're focing me to take anyway as some stupid new ....
Global Warming
Not exactly a what is, but a rant about it. :( it makes me sad (16) Why must the "War on Terror" be SUCH a major issue in this world, I'm not trying to be
anti-American, it's just with the war in Irag reaching a landmark in funding it really makes me
angry, when Global Warming a much more serious issue, recieves so much less attention from the
world's governments...At least I know the U.S. Is not doing all they could... For instance,
Brazil can produce enough ethanol to help with the massive consumption of crude oil in cars, yet
ethanol has a 100% terrif on it while crude oil has a 0% terrif on it... My idea for at least slow....

(7) Ok, well recently i attempted to try and do this offer that godaddy.ocom and buy.com had, and it
was: If you buy somthing from buy.com, when you proceed to checkout you can redeme a coupon that
will get you a domain at godaddy.com...this was posted on a forum somewhere here on trap17.. I went

My Education Rant
Why did they lie?! (10) When I was in Elementary School, I was told that if I got a 4.0 in high school, colleges would look
for me and pay my way. They said "All you need to worry about is your education and you'll be
fine." That was one of the biggest lies I was ever told. I took some time to investigate and
found out that the main things that matter to a college are the SATs and what you did after
school. Lots of universities are offering full scholarships only for foreign language students and
people who are sports stars. What if you spend most of your spare time reading? Doesn'....
Worthy Of A Vent?
WASTING PAPER. (10) I hate it! My teachers used to copy 800+ papers for dumb one-sided crossword puzzle/coloring
assignments. Who the hell does that... oh wait, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY TEACHERS. That's stuff
for elementry students. And there was always 500+ copies left. They only needed to copy like...
50-100 sheets. That caused a major paper shortage in the school, teachers had to bring in their
own. Serves them right. Stupid bubbleheads. It really ills me when people just scrape a perfectly
fine sheet of paper because they made a mistake the size of a quarter. I did that once by mist....

What Is It With People And Myspace?
vent (46) ok, i know myspace is a website like any other out there in the world, but what is it that people

Computers Hate Me Almost As Much As I Hate Them
Why do they always have to mess with me? (18) So, I'm sitting on my computer about a half hour ago when it decides to randomly shut off. So,
being as hot as it was in my computer room, I figured it just got too warm and shut itself off. Then

Huge Rant On Outsourcing
(7) This is the rant forum right? Spent an hour this morning typing this up about outsourcing in
America. It has to stop. I mean seriously. Freaked out of losing my job, and this is not cool,
despite my name. Many companies are now outsourcing jobs in the United States for the more
preferred work of those outside our country. Although there are many reasons why such actions
should be justified, such as a cheaper workforce, this action should be reevaluated on the basis of

People complain a tad too much.. (16) So we have The Vent, for people to complain. Well I think some people are complaining TOO much. I
see that there are some people that have more than three topics in there, and some of them could
probably be meshed together. I think that people should just have maybe 1 or 2 topics in there, one

Dells Computer Issues
My rant about delss computer issues (9) with my computer..it is only a little over a year old...and i have had oso many problems with it..
its a dell..and its getttoh lets see.first my ethernet conector went bad, then my motherboard, the
my D drive, then my CD writer..and NOW my CD writer again.. i say its these damned referbished

(10) This has got to be the crappiest host ever. Not only does it gives you ads out the ying-yang, but
making files avalible to download from what I hear ends up in a trojan! Thier ridiculous, I mean the
pop-ups are so bad you can't even peacfully post an update on your site using Cute News or
Fusion News. It's horrible, you get 2 pop-ups anytime you click a link! I'm glad I'm
working on getting Trap17 soon, My community seems like it's getting restless. If for any reason
you leave Trap17 don't use HostUltra, they suckered me into that Unlimited Space/....
Ups Vs Fedex
A vent concerning postal shipping. (26) UPS (United Postal Service) and FedEx (not sure what that stands for) are the two major shipping
services here in the United States. On Friday, I ordered a new PocketPC, some extra flash memory,
and a flash memory-to-USB adapter from New Egg. I knew that, in order to get the package here on
time (I will be leaving for a trip early tomorrow morning and won't return until late Sunday
night), I would need to use next day shipping (since it takes awhile for the shipping info to clear
the New Egg office/warehouse). I saw about a 5 dollar difference between the UPS and F....

Proper English/Grammer (27) i just cant stand it when people dont use proper grammer. well i mean Speaking. and is this even
proper english? "excuse you" because alot of people have been saying this to me and i dont even
know if it makes sense. and dont get me started on how people end there sentences with prepositions.
for some reason it just annoys the heck out of me. alot. and when people spell things when typing
like. "u" and "y?" it doesnt take much time to type out words. it just shows how lazy americans are.
